  1. If a player is playing for Rochester and he gets the call from the O's, that would be a lateral move.
  2. Excellent job by E-rod. Hopefully, he can rinse and repeat in his next start.
  3. No doubt about it. A good change-up will add 5 mph to the fastball.
  4. Nice effort by Beni. At least he kept the runner at 2nd.
  5. Top of the 7th and no one warming in the BP. Don't understand that strategy.
  6. Devers' secret to hitting. He keeps his head still and watches the ball hit his bat.
  7. Devers will still be 22 when the regular season ends.
  8. As a hitter Teddy Ballgame had a gift that can't be taught. As a fielder JBJ has a gift that can't be taught.
  9. Is the Dodgers' offense brutal? Sometimes, I know it's corny, one has to tip one's cap to the pitcher. Why is that so difficult to understand?
  10. If you were starting a new team, which one of these 3 players would you choose? Betts, Bellinger, or Devers?
  11. It was the Dodgers who took Theo's mistakes (Crawful, A-Gone, and Beckett) a few years back. Hard to hate them for that.
  12. A typical E-rod inning, although it appears OB, ECK and Jerry seemed surprised.
  13. K. Maeda 7-5 3.76ERA vs. E-rod 9-4 4.65ERA Betts Devers X-man JD Beni VAZ JBJ MC Hammer Brock SOX need to stay hot with the bat.
  14. How bad is SOX pitching? Cora couldn't find it within himself to pick even one SOX pitcher for the all-star game.
  15. So could Ortiz, but, at least, he was smart enough to learn the language.
  16. Managing the all-star team must be more difficult for Cora without having Nunez on the bench.
  17. Good one. Btw, how many years do you think it will take Sanchez to learn English?
  18. I expect Nunez to go on a tear in the 2nd half.
  19. If more HR's provides bigger revenues, MLB is not going to do a thing. The same reason they cast a blind eye to the steroid era. In fact, if it wasn't for the risk of a pitcher getting seriously injured or killed, MLB would allow aluminum bats.
  20. The fact of the matter is that the vast majority of fans who buy tickets to the games or watch at home enjoy high scoring games more than well-pitched games. The juiced ball is about money and not about the integrity of the game. In professional sports money will always trump integrity. Also, this juiced ball has made a mockery of previous HR Derby's, but the paying fans love it so, more than likely, nothing will change.
