  1. Another perfect example of good pitching being dominant.Although I would rather pitch against the A's than the SOX.
  2. When Cordero is in the line-up, he should be batting 9th, only because it's a rule that he has to bat.
  3. Yup, fine job by EO.
  4. Marwin is smooooooth on defense.
  5. Nervous about EO or nervous about going to the BP?
  6. Someone mentoned higher seams on the baseball this year.
  7. Many fans don't like the shift, but in reality it doesn't effect the purity of the game. The original rule in baseball was there had to be 9 guys on the field. Where they positioned themselves was never an issue. Hell, the manager could have 7 guys all clustered in LF if he wanted.
  8. Most MLB starters make it seem that 7 inning baseball isn't a bad idea.
  9. Similar to Lopez last night.
  10. Why isn't JD wearing a shin guard? It really isn't going to hamper his speed all that much.
  11. Asking a #3 to be a #1 is asking too much.
  12. Why do so many pitchers have a phobia throwing to the bases, especially 1st? I probably should ask Lester.
  13. Well, Thunder, your view could have been blocked by an Italian.
  14. Fenway's like an aging movie sex symbol. Just apply a major face lift and then add make-up periodically.
  15. I agree. When you build them right the first time, no need for replacements.
  16. He seems to love 3-2 counts.
  17. Who will build a new ballpark first? The SOX or the Cubs? Or will Fenway and Wrigley remain until the earth self-destructs?
  18. Maybe he needs to hit two tonight to get to start tomorrow.
  19. OK, EO, you got your 1 run, now don't blow it.
  20. Chavis may have a big input into how many days Dalbec has off.
  21. Obviously, we recognize Pedro as a great pitcher, but what should also be remembered was that Pedro was the driving force that convinced the SOX FO to sign Ortiz.
  22. I guess we can all agree that as long-time SOX fans we may not have had a team of much great pitching, but we sure can't complain about the hitters who came thru here.
