  1. With E-rod it was always a mental issue. Afraid to pitch to contact. He appears now to have his head on straight. It's either that or Devers took him to the same crossroad to make a deal with a certain entity.
  2. Based on their offensive stats, Devers and Bogie are considered the best combo in MLB. Similar to the days of Manny and Papi.
  3. Beni, similar to Betts two days ago, is a triple away from the cycle. I'm sure triples have ruined many cycles.
  4. Bryant's been playing a lot of LF recently.
  5. Right now Devers is tied for 21st in WAR at 3.7, while Bogie is tied for 28th at 3.5. More reason to take WAR with a grain of salt.
  6. Can anyone here think of a 3rd base/SS combo on one team ever that are putting up the numbers Devers and X-man are putting up so far this year.?
  7. Make that 'former' NBA player.
  8. Just discovered there is a MATT BARNES in the NBA, who is seeking a reduction in child support payments.
  9. Beeks was 5-0 with an ERA OF 2.78 prior to this game. I just looked it up and I was shocked that that rag arm had such stats.
  10. Jim Dandy. Haven't posted that in a while.
  11. Btw, most of the players at present identified as pitchers are actually throwers.
  12. The smoke signals have been sent. All pitchers now know to throw JD low and outside. He'll be as useless as teats on a bull.
  13. That was a worm killing top of the 1st.
  14. "Crappy ballpark' is being too kind.
  15. The mlb schedule I was looking at on the internet had the game at Fenway. Sorry, my bad.
  16. I don't consider Fenway a crappy ballpark.
  17. With the lack of pitching on this club it's hard to believe they're over .500.
  18. Even if the SOX get shut out again tomorrow, their average runs per game won't be affected.
  19. Well, maybe the SOX can hit the pen. Glad to see Wojie depart, but he did pitch a game we can only wish our starters were able to do.
  20. I believe Mancini distinguished himself with 2 dingers and 3 RBI.
  21. I think the SOX just want to get out of the heat.
  22. Cashner is an acceptable #5 pitcher. However, with Porcello the SOX already had one.
  23. The deadline is approaching. No time to wait for a decent game.
