  1. Most of the umps are a f***ing joke, but so is most starting pitching.
  2. 49 pitch count inning. You don't see those everyday.
  3. Our starter has been living on his name for quite a while now Cy Young.
  4. Rick is our only starter where the BP is an improvement.
  5. A few more starts like this and Taknockedaround can share Poorcello's ERA residence.
  6. Better put Tanaka on suicide watch. The SOX own this guy. He's actually done worse this start than his last one against the SOX.
  7. I believe both pitchers will go longer than their last head-to-head meeting.
  8. True, but it seems that since 1969 when the league lowered the mound, every modification to the game has been to benefit the offense. Disallowing the current version of the shift is just another f'ing rule to increase runs per game.
  9. Personally, I'm against the league butting in on how a manager wants to set his defense. If said manager wants to put 7 guys in LF, he should be able to do so. If the batters can't or won't adjust to the shift, tough s***.
  10. As bad as the overall pitching is in MLB can it actually get worse? Yes, once MLB outlaws the current defensive shift.
  11. He's probably a closet SOX fan.
  12. Get back to us after the Yankems win the WS.
  13. The only pizza I would throw at someone is the frozen ones you buy at the grocery store.
  14. Pitching, pitching, and more pitching.
  15. Earl was a great manager. Palmer didn't like him, but respected the hell out of him.
  16. Plus Beeks was 5-0 going into the 1st game of the series.
  17. Having faced Tampa's two best starters, winning 2 of 3 isn't that bad. And there still is one more at bat.
  18. Unfortunately, I don't believe any game under protest was ever upheld. I may be wrong, which would not be unusual.
  19. I believe Earl Weaver holds the record for games under protest.
  20. I would protest every loss. Why the hell not?
  21. That's gonna hurt Devers' exit velocity average.
