I must admit I was wrong. When we traded for Eovaldi, I was lamenting the fact that we didn't trade for a more heralded starter. Others told me I was wrong and that Eovaldi was a very good pickup. I was wrong, they were right.
I don't think Schilling ever gets the props he deserved as a member of the Red Sox. Maybe because of his mouth. Maybe because of his political views. Maybe because of his failed business venture on the back of tax paying residents. One thing is for sure though. The guy was a bulldog and a playoff performer. I'd like to find one of those to pitch between Chris Sale and Eovaldi on the back end. I don't know who that guy is but i'd like for us to find one.
Yankees have an outstanding lineup top to bottom. Red Sox have a top heavy lineup. Bunch of meh in the bottom half. We need better production up and down the lineup. Also, wouldn't help to have a couple of playoff workhorses i.e Pedro and Curt.
