  1. Man... that was a hanger he'd like to have back.
  2. I'm really starting to like this TEAM.
  3. $10 says Moon trumps you with "Realistic View 2021 part IV, PART V, Part VI.... LOL :0 I guess jumping the shark might be... Over the Moon?
  4. Speaking of nails.... Last one in the Yanks coffin. You mocked 93 wins? How ya like me now? "How ya like them apples," big Apple ? Honestly.... I'm generally not for rubbing it in. BUT! In this case, I'd love to hear a dramatic reading by Morgan Freeman of your ******** through the year? Talk about poetry? Oh yeh! POETIC JUSTICE! 93 BABY! NAILED IT! Check the date & time!
  5. WHAT A YEAR! Yes.... we almost blew it down the stretch, but we're still alive! If we win, we deserve it. If we lose, well.... we still had a hell of a year. We'll still be crushed if we don't get it done, but ya just gotta love getting to this!
  6. Well.... I missed it by 1, and almost blew it by talking about it a week or so ago. Now.... it comes down to this! 1 off for the Wildcard spot against the Yankees Same record as the hated Yankees and Yankee fans who said we couldn't wipe their asses. No need to throw their predictions of absolute dominance in the faces of Jacks or others. Good luck to them, and I hope it's one hell of a game!
  7. I take full responsibility for this STUNNINGLY STUPID thread! I basically taunted the baseball gods, playing up the significance of these two series, knowing the risks. This thread should be banned. No more ********! Just play good baseball & good luck to the Sox.
  8. From pitch 1, Eovaldi looked sharp. His pitches had stunning pop! Though he looked so overpowering, It was a bad approach going with the fastball so much so early. Credit to the Yankees for battling early and often. We need a big win today. This may all be a moot point, as the Sox and Yankees will face off in a one off, but we need to assert dominance if we hope to go far in the post-season? This is a surprisingly good team, and it's now time for Cora to show his worth. I'm hoping he can get this crew to dig deep. At this time of the year, facing teams that are relatively equal in talent, power, and depth, it WILL COME DOWN TO our pitching... our pitching is good, but not good enough to shut really good teams down. It is as simple as that. Great hitters are better than our really good pitchers. Our bats better be ready! If so, we have a shot. If not, it could be a very short post-season. Either way, this team has been so much better than most here cried the would be. Fun year, but now we need to roll. We need a big game today.
  9. I can't deny that after all the sh_t-talking from Yankee fans, that the Yankees finishing 4th in the AL East would not be pure gold! No doubt about it, the day the Yankees are knocked out of the Post Season would be a special day indeed. Still... I can't deny that the RS beating the Yanks in a HIGH PROFILE 1 game series would feel awesome! I propose a compromise? Let's knock the Yankees out by sweeping the last 9 games? Sweep the Yanks in our last series together... have the Jays surge past the Yankees concurrently... thus knocking the Yankees out of PS contention, while locking down our own "manifest destiny?" Revel in our glee while drinking Yankee tears??? Sounds pretty good On the other hand... out of a profound sense of terrifying superstition, I want to be clear in saying that I am not dismissing the Yankees in any way! They are a great mlb team THIS YEAR. I simply want the rest of the ALE teams to slightly outshine this worthy nemesis. Let's roll!
  10. "Come on mannn!" LOL :0
  11. THIS is what haunts me, and keeps me from uncorking on Jacks' dogging on the Sox early & often. Yes. He and everyone i know thought my 93 wins was insanity at the beginning, but I know I'd be right. Sure... with some wishful thinking, but I knew it would happen just the same. STILL.... A ONE GAME winner take all series against the Yankees makes me dry-heave! I get sick thinking about it for a reason. The good news! WE ARE IN IT this year in a big way!!! & we control our own destiny. Hate to say it, but THE BEST THING? IT is a one game series! The WORST THING? EPIC PAIN??? It is a one game series with the Yanks, and.... I can't even say it.
  12. Right now, you win my man! Fun stuff. Fun looking back on some really wrong prognostication after watching some VERY GOOD SIGNS in ST. I do find it funny that Jacks was SO OUTSPOKEN at the beginning of the season, then went mum.. Still waiting to see if the Yanks can rally, and then come out swinging if the Yanks do. Otherwise... very quiet. I get it. Human nature. I'd do the same. But then again... this is our house.
  13. Loving the fact that Jacks was SO WRONG. Then again, he was not the only Red Sox basher in the Spring Season. Good luck to the Yankees, but it would be great to face them in the Post-Season! Good luck to both teams. Or something magnanimous like that, that won't bite us in the ass!
  14. Just because it's aweful fun to look back and mock a Yankee
  15. Pretty exciting finish! and yes! I just wanna win Who will be the big loser?
  16. A good start to potentially a great finish ...
  17. Yes it would
  18. Last 11 games. 7 - 4 or better
  19. Mets then Yankees... Make or break! Either this RS team steps up and delivers the 93 wins I predicted at the beginning of the season, or .... I'm praying the Sox play up to their potential and put this season away against both NY teams. It would be so sweet to sweep both teams and surge into the post-season with ahead of steam! Predictions? This is it folks! Let's get this done!
  20. Well... The Rays certainly keep making a clear case. THEY OWN the Sox this year. Definitively! Sad, but true. The good news is, I'm too damned busy to let it get to me this year. The bad news? I'm too dambed busy to let it get to me.
  21. Great catch Verdugo
  22. https://primetimesportstalk.com/2021/08/15/bobby-dalbec-has-been-an-impact-bat-in-august/amp/?__twitter_impression=true Busy, but I kept checking the box & seeing Dalbec with a few more RBI's. I knew he was hot, but didn't realize this hot. Hope he has at least turned a corner after the trade deadline? Good for him!
  23. So much for pounding this guy. He found his groove, and is tying us up now. Lotta off balance hitting now.
