Kike batting a robust .094 after that at bat. Probably could do with a little better from a lead off man but I know Cora gives Kike a long lease. -

Yup like it. So maybe some degree of freedom. I am guessing the schedule of the next couple weeks may dictate a shuffle. But it’s early so I am hopeful.

All right Kutter. Settling in nicely after some sketchy D cost him a run in the first. Better SP will go a long way to helping the situation.

Ya agree. Just spitballing but if Casas doesn’t hit then Duvall to 1B, Kike to CF, Chang/Mondesi/Story at SS. Turner 1B/3B/DH. But Changs not going to hit likely. So is the potential D upgrade of the shuffle worth it? We’re stuck. Hopefully the D will improve.

Personally, I never felt any different. I am really hoping he proves me wrong as the season evolves.

Agreed. Hard to see room in the OF for Kike if he’s not hitting and Dugo keeps hitting lefties. Maybe he becomes $10 mil super utility luxury. I am with you I don’t see any easy fix. Duvall has played some first in the past….only 43 games tho. Three LF in the OF and a CF at SS, and avg at best C’s. And Cora has a thing with Kike so will he make a change?

It’s really early so don’t want to panic, but D is a real problem at this point. And the schedule is tough the next couple weeks so hopefully they can settle down. It’s concerning.
