  1. I doubt that was the alternative he would have suggested.
  2. Tough loss for Hill.
  3. I just noticed that. Would have been cool to see a 10 inning perfect game.
  4. No! An error by Forsythe ends it.
  5. Rich Hill is three outs from perfection.
  6. There's that designated sprinter we were talking about.
  7. Maybe. I think it's marginal either way.
  8. lol agreed. He sprained his thumb. He didn't lose it.
  9. Mookie Betts. He's a good player. I think I was too high with 10/300. I would see if he would accept 10/270 first.
  10. Agreed. The "upgrades" are Lin and Marerro? Travis? Those guys aren't even hitting AAA pitching.
  11. He's a big loss, but the best CF in the game? Do you mean defensively?
  12. Another question I asked to Cameron about hypothetical Betts extension. https://www.jotcast.com/chat/dave-cameron-fangraphs-chat-2448.html
  13. I asked Dave Cameron about the ridiculous original trade in the thread. I even threw in the best two Red Sox prospects. Response was predictable. https://www.jotcast.com/chat/dave-cameron-fangraphs-chat-2448.html
  14. I sincerely doubt a Betts contract is going to bankrupt a $2.7 billion franchise. I obviously think that a player who finished as the MVP runner up at 23 has a much higher ceiling than this. If Betts' norm is an .790 OPS with plus-plus defense and baserunning, and I get to lock him up at 24? He's easily more valuable than the AAV he's getting paid for at least the first six years.
  15. You can wait all you want, he's still going to get it.
  16. I agree. I think LeBron is good as gone, unless the Cavs miraculously go get Anthony Davis, or some other star.
  17. They didn't take a giant step back. IT, if healthy can still get you 20-25 PPG, and Crowder gives them another 3 and D guy. They still have a ton of shooting, and I wouldn't be surprised if Wade ends up there eventually. And they still have LeBron. He's still the best player on the court by far, and the Celtics don't have anyone to guard him. Crowder didn't even come close in May.
  18. The Nets are probably better than the Pacers and the Hawks right now, and if they get some improvement from Russell, Carroll, and Crabbe they might have a punchers' chance at 30 wins. They also have no incentive to tank like some of the other cellar dwellers.
  19. As long as the Cavs have LeBron, they have to be considered the favorites. I still think Celtics get bounced in five or six.
  20. You'll get over it when Kyrie Irving is dropping 35 a night.
  21. They told Sale you are owning everyone too easily, so you have have to throw right handed now.
  22. Agree with Station13 here.
