To me it was a mistake and I'm a Farrell defender. To me it was more important to add on then a 2-3% chance our third basemen would make an error.

Actually his defense has been good. I forgot who said it but they said he would.be there best defensive third basemen right now. Definitely a more finished third basemen then Moncada when he was called up.

It was a struggle to watch him the second half of the year.

His hitting compared to Marreros is quite the difference. When you can't hit above 200 in Pawtucket you should not get that at bat. Plus they also had D'arnaud on the bench who could have played third.

Had a chance to blow the game wide open with Bradley and Rutledge sitting on the bench, was not a good decision. The reason he started was to get a day of rest for Rutledge.

I think Farrell's big mistake yesterday was not pinch hitting for Marrero with the bases loaded and 1 out in the eight. That made no sense.

Shaw's war came in the first half of the year, he was absolutely terrible the second half. Holt actually unseated him in September for a period of time. Shaw might be doing fine now, but he is so streaky you can't count on him. I was not unhappy to see him go.

He was at Pawtucket last year. Twins picked him from us in the rule 5 draft. Good chance he will be offered back .

I have the confidence in him if we score a couple runs we are probably winning the game. Never had that with Lester.
