    AJ Hinch has out-managed Cora in this one. Hinch took out his failed starter. Cora didn't and thus gave up the lead.

    I think you go all out to win this game. Verlander is pitching tomorrow anyway. By stretching out Porcello, Cora gave up the lead and now there is a good chance the Red Sox lose tonight and lose tomorrow against Verlander. Bad management by Cora. You can't bring Porcello back out in the 4th inning. He was done.

    I keep watching the play over and over and I don't know. I don't know if Betts reaches into the stands or the fans reach over. It's close.

    My Lineup: Betts RF Benintendi LF Martinez DH Bogaerts SS Devers 3b Pearce 1b Holt 2b Vazquez C Bradley CF I'll be pissed if Kinsler and/or Nunez are in the lineup tonight against the righty. I would play Moreland over Pearce, but I'm assuming Moreland isn't healthy enough to start.

    I feel good about this series--the Red Sox haven't played all that well and yet are 1-1.

    My guess is that Sale went into the hospital for left shoulder surgery. We will know this for certain on Thursday night when he comes out throwing right-handed.

    Hasn't hit lefties all year. He is better against RHP.

    Pomeranz can't get people out and isn't on the playoff roster. I would move Price to the bullpen and would start E-Rod in game 4, moving Porcello and Sale back one day. Game 3: Eovaldi game 4: E-Rod game 5: Porcello game 6: Sale game 7: Eovaldi Price doesn't deserve another start. He is trash in the playoffs. Cora can't figure that out? I would start Devers from this point forward even against the lefty Keuchel. I would also start Brock Holt at 2b for the rest of the series.

    Would love to see the Red Sox deal Price in the offseason (while kicking in millions in order to move him). The bigger problem, of course, is Chris Sale's health. If he isn't healthy, the Red Sox are in trouble next year. Cole is settling in. Unlike Price, Cole is really good.

    Great call by Cora using Price when all the numbers said not to.

    another frustrating game. The Red Sox leave the bases loaded in the first, can't seem to get the big hit, and David Price sucks again in the postseason.
