    Have to compare to the best to get some kind of idea if they are underachieving, even last years Sox team would do to. These numbers mean nothing to me. Sorry. I thought after reading them we were 20 games over .500. Or compare them to a team that has or is close to us with W-L record. Bet both will be close. Every game in baseball is so different, so many variables. To go by steady numbers. You have to compare.

    You stay over .500 you'll be in the hunt for last WC spot. Angels and White Sox are 2 games under, and they are only 4.5 games behind.

    PawSox and Boston started the exact same time, its already bottom of the 5th in Pawtucket. Pitch clock matters.

    Sox are .500 at home that's the problem.

    In hockey they give you a 2 minute penalty if you lose the challenge, they ought to something like that in baseball, to move the game along.

    Sox don't need a Stater. Don't need Outfield, don't need Catchers, doing all right in the infield, Back-ups are pretty good, what's missing? Last year we had a Closer, this year different. No established Closer. Kelly was so up and down he made only difference in Post Season. Closer, during the season, is huge. Post season it's everybody on Deck.

    Toronto has been playing us tough, next 8 out of 19 games (including today) is against Toronto.

    If Bill Belichick was Opposing Manager for a Major League team facing the Sox, it would take him less then a minute, to game plan against them. Wait them out. Hope your starter holds them to 3 runs or less, looks like 6 might be it now I don't know. Get to 100 pitches on Sox Starters, then do damage. Occasionally they will do their job, but I like my odds against that Bullpen. Especially if you have a stronger BP then them.

    Lets spot the World Champions a 6 run lead in their Home Ballpark, be the 3rd worst team in all of baseball, fight them for 9 innings, and beat them...in their place. That's what really is disturbing. I give credit to the Blue Jays.

    Agree on Barnes. 4-8 with RISP so we can rule that out, right? 2 disappointing losses in 1 week, cant sustain that with 84 games left in the season. Also cannot believe the Sox are 18-18 at home. .500 ball at home wont do it. You have to hold leads, that's the bottom line.
