You evaluate Minor League Talent way more different than I do. A consistent .250 hitter in the Minors, is very rare they become .300 hitters in the Majors. High Strikeout guys in the Minors, will be higher K guys in the Majors. Important you follow the trend. Since I saw Ockimey play, he has the talent, no doubt. Like him in fact. But his approach, because he's so young, is not good. Needs to mature at the plate. That's why I wanted him promoted a Month ago. Portland stinks, wanted him to learn against tougher Opponents. Best way to progress.

Castillo is stuck in Pawtucket forever. https://www.masslive.com/redsox/index.ssf/2018/01/boston_red_soxs_rusney_castill_13.html He would be called up in a heartbeat, if not for this contract. Not only does he hit, but a good Defensive CF too. So enough of him.

Ockimey strikes out once every 3 at bats, for his career in the Minors. 1484 at bats, 500 K's. 1 HR every 28 at bats. 53 HRS in his career.

Maybe? I haven't heard. What I don't understand is why no team offers some salary relief for Castillo, and take a chance on him. He's tearing it up in Pawtucket, 2 very good years back-to back.

I have no problem him Pitching against Toronto, they stink. He should handle them. Pitching against bad teams tells me more how a Pitcher is progressing. Start after that will be the Orioles, and they really stink. I expect 2 quality starts from him. Not 5 innings not 1000 pitches, and not attacking the strike zone. Johnson is a filler at this point. Pomeranz should be dominating over Johnson. -
Beating Severino tonight is going to be huge. Yanks are reeling and they need a stop tonight by their best.

Biggest smile on my face was the play in the Hole Sunday, where he backhanded the play, and almost threw the runner out. Major League SS's have a tough time on this play. No Catcher in the Majors makes that play.

Good just as long as he don't turn into Jake Cosart, who has regressed big time. Went to Portland and hit the Minor League wall, where the competition caught up to his talent.

Sure is. I think Johnson best season in the Minors, Swihart was his catcher. Pretty sure 2014. 10-2 1.75 era. For Portland. Actually next year too as both got promoted to Pawtucket. Swihart got promoted to Boston half a season though. Did real good too.

.500 against the Yanks the rest of way all you need. Anything better after that is gravy. Tough West Coast trip coming in beginning of Sept. too for them.

Those rain-outs are going to be the death march for the Yanks. They had to Trade for starters and BP. They are going to need, rested arms. Tons of games without Off days. Even after the 2 Off days in the middle of Month. Only 5 Off days till end of season. 56 games with 5 Off days, average 11 days to 1 day off. Lot of games, need a lot of arms.
