  1. I think Runs are going to be hard to come by in 1st two games, by the Sox. Whoever Pitches got to keep the Sox in the games. Kluber faced Houston 2 times this year, pitched 13.1 innings, 13 hits, 2 ER's, 17 K's. Then faced them in Play-offs. Price much better then Kluber.
  2. Weird that both Verlander and Cole, both pitch better on the road then Home, this year. Whether this equates to Fenway, we will find out.
  3. 4 straight balls to 2 batters in the 9th, scares me. Knowing they needed runners. This has to be cleaned up. Eventually it will bite you in the ass. Good thing for Stanton, in the 9th.
  4. OK so David is pitching, hope he kicks ass. But, the thing we better do is hit Cole. If not, better be best pitched game of year for Price.
  5. Here's I would do it. Sale Eovaldi Porcello Price, he would be my swingman, for 1st 2 games. He is still valuable here.
  6. Eovaldi is pretty good for his Career against Houston, except that 1 start. For what's it worth.
  7. Yep found game log, Nathan did get hit hard in Houston, in June. https://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/HOU/HOU201806200.shtml
  8. This ^^^ Agree. Price pitched good out of BP last year too both times against Houston. Gives Cora flexibility if needed before his start.
  9. Did he face them with Tampa? Or is this with Tampa?
  10. Season yes, Play-offs no. I'd go Eovaldi.
  11. There could be value in this, if he has a stinker, the Fans will go nuts. He may want to Opt out. Yank Fans giving him a cheer, when he was introduced, was unreal. I would want out.
  12. I never liked Back-to Back Lefties, Houston hits Lefties good too.
  13. Yep, in Houston though. BP duty until start.
  14. Kimbrel has a 3.65 ERA in 12 Post-Season games. Koji he is not, he better prove it to me, against a team that will test him, and pretty much healthy now. Limbo for me.
  15. Kimbrel for me is now in limbo. Pressure keeps getting more amped up, lets see how he reacts, to even higher pressure. Looking at Sanchez Sac. Fly, that was a millimeter, for us from having a disaster. This guy scares me.
  16. Yanks are a good team, and we beat them in their building, that's never easy to do. Good Opponent, to lead into the Astros. It will help, when we go to Houston. Good series glad we won.
  17. Glad we open up at home against the Astros. That team is almost fully healthy now, except for Correa (still having back problems). They lost a Month of Altuve in 2nd half, and almost a Month from Springer, in 2nd half too. And still won more games then last year. Going to be a battle. My initial thought, stop Altuve, and Bregman, to start. Glad Mr. Cora is here, knows their tendencies, and what Hinch might do.
  18. Brewers are almost opposite Red Sox, except for Power. No starters, but underrated BP. Dodgers in for a series. That is a going to be a good one too. WS Sox vs. Brewers.....going to be a good one too. Houston hit .327 in last series against a good Guardians Pitching staff. Sox in for a battle, every pitch counts. Lose your focus, Houston will make you pay.
  19. Judge is still my MVP. Woke their asses up.
  20. Before this year Kinsler was a .300 career hitter against Lefties, in 12 years. Play Kinsler and sit Nunez could work too. Holt to 3rd. Guys that played last night didn't hit Severino before last nights game, so who knows.
  21. Who sits if JBJ plays? Kinsler I imagine. Kinsler has a history of hitting Lefties pretty darn good. Not Months, Years.
  22. https://www.baseball-reference.com/play-index/batter_vs_pitcher.cgi?request=1&submitter=1&batter=bradlja02&min_year_game=2013&max_year_game=2018&post=1&throws=L&opponent_status=active&c1gtlt=gt&c2gtlt=gt&orderby=PA&orderby_dir=desc&orderby_second=Name&orderby_dir_second=asc Like I said tough call.
  23. Nobody is really wrong or right, its a tough decision, for Mr. Cora. JBJ .185 this year against Lefties. Holt .292 against Lefties, this year. Even Benni is hitting .247 this year against Lefties, nothing special but much better then .185. On the other side Porcello gets a lot balls that seem to be hard at time to Outfield. Very tough decision.
  24. Soon as we get the lead and Yanks flip into their BP, bring in JBJ. Hoping it is soon as 2nd inning.
  25. RH Batters are hitting.264 against Sabathia this year, LH Batters are hitting, .180 this year. You want runs, and you want them quick, force the Yanks into a BP game, get the crowd out, then go Defense. For me I want Offense first. Don't play passive, play aggressive.
