    You know what beats complacency.....Good Pitching. And Houston improved their Pitching from last year. They won over 100 games back to back years, and this year the Astros had a lot of injuries to their Core guys. I expect a dogfight.

    Sale did it before with the White Sox, so he already had the mindset. He was a Reliever before he was a Starter.

    Brewers got a good Outfield in one day, with signing of Cain, and Trading for Yelich on same day. Cain very Underrated CF.

    Bad contracts by Ben, hurt this team in the Payroll though. But if I was a Owner, like the Mets, I would hire him to build my team. But not have too much input in FA. Let him find the young talent, and get some kind of advisor for Free Agents. Another good quality in Ben, is that he is good at finding talent from other Teams, that they are not too high on. He finds good talent.

    To me if you got the Highest pay-roll in Major League Baseball, to me if you don't get to World Series, its a failure. Now that's personal. You paid your Talent to get there. By the way I would feel the same way if it was Yankees, Dodgers or Mets.

    I don't care what they get paid, either. That's up to GM's and evaluators, and Owners giving the OK. I just think, its turning other way. Starting to see FA, is not the way to go to build a solid, long lasting team. Nothing to me personally, just stating I think long term contracts for big bucks, is a failure. I don't think, my post had any personal feelings about this.

    On Radio last night they said Kershaw has lost 4 MPH on his fastball since 2016, you think he Opts. out now? I doubt it. Your catching most of these Free Agents, (the good ones), at the Start of their decline. A lot of innings, pitches. If Sale get 31 Million a year, all you can say is their is a fool born every minute. Especially if Shoulder is a problem. You'll start seeing teams wise up, these long term contracts, just don't work out anymore, especially for Pitchers, when they hit the 30 year old number. Teams will wait these guys out, so they get desperate, and sign later, at a Lower Rate and less years. Happened this year, Darvish and Arrieta. They have the money to wait it out, but they still don't want to lose a year of competing. That's how I see it going forward, at least for Pitchers. See how it goes with Harper, and Machado, might go same way too. Teams are wising up on FA's finally. Very, very little of Free Agent signings, are worth it anymore, especially long term contracts. 5+ years. Don't do it.

    Should be a great series. Both teams are good. Here's how I feel about the Astros, last year they won 101 games with mostly a strong Offense. This year a lot of injuries with them through out the year, in their Line-up. And they won more, then year before. That tells me their Pitching is much more improved, and that is huge. What I hope for they don't get hot with the bats, at the right time, with this Pitching. Line-up hits like 2017, and Pitches like this year, its going to be a battle.

    Also, wouldn't he be the Starter (Eovaldi) in Game 7? If there is one? The 2nd Start could be the biggie for David, if it goes that far.

    Price did pitch good against them 2 times this year too. Hope he don't follow the Kluber way in Play-offs.
