  1. A player's worth is determined by what someone else will pay for them. Their worth as a trade commodity is unknown until a trade is made.
  2. Yes. He emptied the farm (other than Chavis, Hernandez, Lin, Dalbec, & Sam Travis) in quest of a WSC in 2018. And do you know what? IT WAS WORTH IT!!!
  3. Keep up the good work, my friend!
  4. These guys are going to be tired tomorrow, just from running the bases!
  5. He did this against one of the best hitting teams in baseball. Whatever he did, it's good.
  6. If my son or daughter were here I'd call them in to relieve me.
  7. Yesss. I'm having a bad night here, much like Tanaka. LOL
  8. West is the president of the player's union.
  9. When the umpire allows a late time-out Porcillo should unleash a fastball at the ump.
  10. NFW do I not score on that play. This is the Yankees. Do you think they'd give the Sox that courtesy? NO WAY!
  11. I realized that just after I hit Send.
  12. Having this guy and Angel Hernandez in the same crew is criminal.
  13. I find the availability of stats like that to be just amazing.
  14. Yep. Jax will be back anytime to remind us how good this kid is and the Yankees are.
  15. I agree philosophically, but this big drop off happened this year. That tells me that something is different and Manfred has not only said the ball is different, he said why it's different.
  16. I know that someone somewhere probably has stats on how much pitches are breaking this year and we'll probably hear about it sooner or later. What I know about the new ball is that the threads aren't as high - Manfred said so - and logic would tell me that the lower the threads are the harder time a pitcher will have gripping them. If he can't grip the threads to make the ball spin the ball won't spin as much, therefore the ball won't (or shouldn't!) break as much.
  17. I'm telling ya, it's the new ball. The new threads keep the pitchers from being able to grip it and they make the ball travel farther. If it was just the Sox I'd agree with those who say the Sox pitching sucks but it's a problem every pitcher is having and it's worse for the finesse pitchers.
  18. Infield in? NOW? LOL THey don't want to turn this 7 run lead into 8 or 9!
  19. Vazquez, on days when he isn't catching. If only to keep his bat in the lineup. Who thought anyone would be saying THAT at the beginning of the season?
  20. I like the idea but I'm not at all certain we can get a decent reliever for him straight-up. For one thing other GM's know we NEED that reliever and they're going to be showing up at the trade wearing masks and guns, and Moreland's inability to stay on the field makes him less than desirable. But I like the idea.
  21. Agreed. I'm one of JBJ's biggest fan-boys but I don't for the life of me understand why he stops hitting to LF. That's where his success is.
