  1. I don't think its the fact no one plays defense anymore, I think its the fact the players are just so much more athletic, stronger and faster. imagine a guy like Russell westbrook or john wall playing back then. they are missles of speed and strength, they really aren't guardable man to man. and everyone in the nba now is so damn good at shooting that if they beat one man, and another tries to help, you can guarantee the teammate is banging the open three.
  2. if harper gets 700 million, ill remove something every man should have two of from my body, with a wrench, and im referring to something below the waste that isn't my legs. ..
  3. I don't get it. harper has been really overrated for a majority of his career. what makes him worth more than say many machado?
  4. we have two long relievers in the pen for a reason, he shouldn't be hesitant to use Velazquez and/or Johnson in those games, otherwise why have them in the pen?
  5. it looks like hes getting hot. he gets up to say .230 or so, trade him?
  6. if Bryce harper gets 500 million, ill shave my ******* with a fork.
  7. basketball was weird back then. Russell was an elite defensive player, who lacked offensive talent, but for some reason was still given the ball a lot back then. it would be similar to giving ben Wallace or dennis rodman a lot of touches. Russell is in the 8-10 range all time imo. rings aren't everything, especially when the Celtics ere ridiculously stacked back then. Draymond green already has as many rings as LeBron and if they keep the core in tack, could very well pass them, wheres we gonna rank him? Robert horry has 7. is he near goat?
  8. this game reminds me of the cheese cake factory. in the outside,it seems like a good time, you know, f***ing cheese cake, but then you go inside, its mediocre, and you want to kill yourself.
  9. that story about ted Williams, fred Hutchison and jon lester was cool
  10. Rafael devers hits like a dolphin with a dislocated dorsal fin
  11. anyway we could dump nunez in a trade to potentially offset the money coming in?
  12. butter sandy leons balls and call him a biscuit, because hes on fire
  13. trading jbj for Hamilton is beyond stupid. we get a shittier player with less team control, and give up another player in the deal for no reason. hard pass
  14. I know we've discussed JBJ and the C position a lot, they've both been bad, but the 2B position may actually be the teams weakest link and this is one position that has to be addressed at the trade deadine. pedroia is a lost cause, I am not counting on him returning this year, or possibly ever. his injury is a tricky one, he's old (for baseball player) and as much as it sucks, hes probably done. brock holt has been a pleasant surprise this year, and is a great team player and utility player, but he's proven he cannot handle the grind of being an every day player for a full season, he wears down and his career numbers decline every year. hes just not built to be an every day player. then we have the guy getting most the reps, Eduardo nunez. nunez has been horrendously bad this season. he has a -.1.1 WAR, that is 3th worst in all of baseball behind only the great orioles duo of chris davis and trey mancini, and royals ss alcidies escobar. nunez is always bad on defense, but his offense has been equally as bad this year, and at this point, he hurts the team when he plays what can be done about this s*** show?
  15. what does Jackie Bradley bring to this team? honest question. he and nunez need two ds in the b.
  16. he was put in the game in a s*** situation.
  17. idk what this means, I wanted jbj traded. see my 'trade jbj" thread, and my numerous posts saying he sucks.
  18. not only is the man not hitting, he makes a brutal error tonight.
  19. even remy questioning why the hell scott was in the game?
  20. alex cora decided the day after an off day, he should bring in ROBBY SCOTT to pitch the 8th inning of a tied game. genius, just genius.
  21. im sure max will come in and tell us cora managed this game to perfection, even though 99% of the site called scott coming in stupid before he even did anything bad.
  22. cora f***s this game away with his Robbie scott experiment.
  23. cora f***s this game away with his Robbie scott experiment.
  24. Jackie Bradley jr f***ing sucks. if this jack ass cant field what the f*** is he good for?
  25. after an off day, it is not ideal to have a guy just called up that day pitch in 8th inning of a tied game.
