  1. Let's hope we can soon add Clay and EROD to this list.... if Kelly comes back strong?????? I'm not at all oposed to a 6 man rotation!
  2. No offense, but how the hell would this thread be better in the ridiculously scattered "dead horse" thread? If there is no interest in rehashing the Iggy vs. X-Bo debate, which seems incredibly relevant now that X-Bo is turning into a bona fide' All-Star in front if our very eyes, then the thread will run it's course v e ry quickly & fall off the sacrosanct front board. IDK..., Many seem a bit tightly wound around here by the "code of conduct?" Forgive me, but it seems that some have their panties in a bunch because a few refugees have come in and their threads are getting attention... i.e. traffic. Maybe it's more important to direct traffic than generating it? Shyte gets absolutely lost & buried in that dead "dead horse" thread. Have you guys not heard the saying about beating a dead horse? Hope it's ok to mix it up just a little. I rarely start a threat, but perhaps space is reserved for the more.... "Proper Bostonian?"
  3. ************************* In fact, I hereby designate this a free venting zone! Those who do not like it, get easily offended, and can't help but tell people they can't handle any more venting, are encouraged to STOP READING what YOU can't handle. ***********************
  4. Talk about problems.... There shold be a whole section in the mental health codes just for growing up in a family of Southies! You got anger problems?
  5. Venting helps me with my "anger issues," which I came by honestly due to a troubled childhood. Thanks! I do feel better....
  6. Please spare us the specious arguments. Yes! Of course we're all heartless bastards who hate fat people & anyone with mental illness.
  7. Warning!!!!! Do not read if easily offended! ************* It's called venting, as the subject was brought up again. S5 nailed after the nancies decided to go on a defense initiative. It's absolutely a thorn in my paw to know how badly we needed a 2-3 pitcher, yet we have 19M a year tied up in this clown. Decent enough guy, but in my opinion he likes to get high & eat far more than he likes to be there for his team. Bottom line. It's a very conscious choice he makes all day, every day. He's also been more than deceptive about it in his run ups to contract time. HE CAN DO IT when there is a pile of money on the line. He's done it multiple times. But he always gets the money first, then let's down & binge eats. Sorry. We vent. The nancies get defensive of the guy who is screwing us all. Go figure. Hey! Screw him. I'm to the age I have to fight every day to stay in shape. Weight runs in my family, so I know how hard it is. Not sveldt anymore, but I stay looking pretty trim. It's a daily battle. Some fight it, & some give in constantly. It's a battle, but still a choice. It's NOT A god damned addiction as so many nancies want everyone to believe. Hey! How about all those same god damned nancies who want to demonize & vilify smokers, who actually are addicted? The very same loving tolerant nancies when it comes to weight will absolutely crucify smokers. Unless it's Panda sparkin yet another fatty? Then it's all good. Man I miss the smell & taste of that Ganga Pablo! M Please excuse the gratuitous venting!
  8. LOL. :0 Jus entertaining myself JayBay44. False alarm. No animals were harmed in the filming of this safety video. Trying to get tired so I can wake up early, go out & get another round of mother's day gifts, as my wife gave me that.... "don't worry, so long as it's not shrubbery again....." pep-talk. SHYTE! You'd think i'd remember that one. Dann! Always go with your guy kid! I was going to do the cute SilveTab blingy jeans, 1 or 2 sizes too small trick. That one always works. That's a freebie! The rest you have to pay for on my Web page.
  9. Hang on. Some lunatics are hammering on my door. Oh shyte! Looking through my curtains..... what the hell is the TSX Police Dept.? & what the hell are they doing in Orego**** pending removal
  10. Not trying to be a smaht arrss, but as I look through the threads that are staying on the front page, many were started by new BDC members. The fact that they seem to have staying power, i.e. posts.... many posts, indicates to me that there is interest in a number of them. Feel free to knock them, & implicitly the new "rabble-rousers," but don't these things generally work themselves out. Most new threads have limited appeal, and die a pretty quick death, i.e. my lame attempt to push a new debated over Iggy vs. X-Bo. Brilliant concept that it was.....But for my lousy & obtuse title, I really would have crushed it. Instead, I whiffed. Swinging for the fences & pulling my head again. Ughhh. ; ( Anyway.... I get the sentiment of not starting a thread for every thought that pops into your head, but I personally think it would be a shame to stifle some very creative & knowledgeable new posters. Or some of the new hot-heads for that matter? That's ok. We Irish are familiar with blending in & taking shyte jobs for the Proper Bostonians. NO worries! We'LL pipe down & be good. Promise! That is until we take over.....
  11. I honest to god haven't the faintest idea why some of you feel such a need to defend Pablo? Are you guys afraid we might hurt his 90 million $ feelings? Maybe us mean Boston fans are the reason these overpriced fat free agents don't make it in Boston? LOL
  12. I forgot about all the great HOF fat 3rd basemen in mlb history. My bad!
  13. Pardon me if it's unwarrented, but I think he owes the Sox SOMETHING for 90 MILLION. Honestly.... i'm tempted to say your defensive opinions are...... "emotional," as oposed to business. No! They are flat out emotional as oposed to someone who is flat out pissed off about being ripped off to the tune of 90 million, by the seller who knew that he was just about to blow up the damn holding back the flood waters that would deluge the house he just sold. Sorry Kimmi! SO FAR the guy has been a complete and utter POS. MAYBE a 90 million investment is chump change to you, but it is not to the Red Sox organization or RSN.
  14. p.s. until he has put in 50 years, living, dying, blood, sweat, & tears for this team as I have, he can kiss my freckled Irish arss! Of course, if he pulls a Lackey, & makes a comeback for the ages & helps us win another WS in 2017, I will gladly pay him to kiss his aarss!
  15. How about accusing him of quitting on his team? Would that be ok? How about accusing him of hanging all over his teammates with plurry droopy eyes in the midst od loss after loss after loss, seemingly oblivious to yet another epic losing season? Is that better? I understand that it makes some uncomfortable to hear an accusation, but if the guy was not high, i'm not sure what the hell was wrong with him last year? Was management clamoring to keep him around to the bitter end, or did they or did they not find a reason to let him walk before season's end? Sorry for reading between the lines! Of course, he sure proved me wrong by coming back fit, trim, & ready to rock in ST..... Your so right Youk! How dare I cast such aspersions on a guy who has done so much for my beloved Red Sox! Mea culpa! Cut the shyte! I hate to say that to one of my ALL TIME favorite dirtdog namsakes, but please! Spare me the feigned indignation. This is my f☆c&ing team, not his! He's done nothing to earn my respect! FAR LESS THAN NOTHING SO FAR! Lackey? I brutalized him during that brewhaha! But I was his biggest fan day 1 of the next year! Panda comes back & puts in a Lackey 2013 effort??? I will be his biggest backer! Until then.... until he shows us some pride! Some Red Sox spirit? He will be a quitter to me. Either way, it's up to him. I don't need to prove a damned thing! It's all on him.
  16. Actually, I admire Kimmi's heart. She Is Such A NICE person, but a bit Pollyannish. I like her style & heart, but she just needs to give a bit more of a cap tip to us hot headed life long Sox fans, who were born to vent. She's simply too nice to get down in the dirt & kick it up with an old dirtdog. I'm not saying she doesn't know her stuff! It's actually a compliment. She is a nice person. I'm straight up not that nice. You F my team? I take you out! Pablo clearly F'd us! NO IF AND's, or BUT's about it. HE F'd us! Why even defend the guy? Like I say, nice guy, but cut the shyte! The guy is a WORLD CLASS TAKER!
  17. Kimmi, I think you need to come around to the fact that this was an epically STUPID contract, any way you slice it. After the ridiculously moronic contract, Pablo shoved it up our arsses by not giving a rip. This is not even arguable. The only conclusion anyone could make us that after getting the payday of his LIFE, Panda did what Pandas do. EAT, & not give a shyte about anybody else. JF not keeping tabs on him was a mistake of epic proportions! Again, not even a question about it. THE CONTRACT? Ridiculous on it's face! Not Panda's fault, other than being a sneaky little POS who will diet & work out to get a contract from a DS GM who needs to make a splash with a name, then eat to his heart's content. Sorry! To me, th a t's the definition of a taker! Not sure what you've seen that leads you to believe that he has put out for his team & teammates here in Boston? If that's bias, so be it. Of COURSE It is! You were expecting what from Boston fans? AGAIN.... The irony is????? I actually am VERY HAPPY ABOUT THIS YEAR!!!! I didn't ever want to see the guy again! Did me & all of RS Nation a HUGE favor!
  18. Kimmi, sorry you don't think so, but these assumptions are self-evident.
  19. The fact that this was an historically awful contract was a given. Most of us thought that from day 1. So I completely agree with you! Still, that does not negate us having even the most minimal expectations for Pablo. He's made a complete joke of himself. I feel for his struggle with weight. We all have family and friends who struggle with this every day. I think the notion that he is also having lipo is pretty silly. The stomach staple stuff is just nutty.
  20. Kimmi, what exactly do you disagree with? Most of these points seem self-evident. I know it's harsh, & fueled by anger & disgust, but he basically slimmed down enough to bag a mega-contract, then let everyone down, especially his teammates & the fans, simply because he then chose to dismiss all self-control in order to indulge his every food desire. Hyperbolic? Sure. Accurate? Yes. $$$$$$$ aside, he actually did us all a favor this year. He's gone, and we have a far better player who cares deeply about making it in the bigs with the Red Sox. Win - Win.
  21. Oh shoot! You weren't even knocking me on this libalous point. OH well, this will give you one more reason to be aggravated with my opinions on Pablo. Look.... I'm sure the guy is very nice. By all accounts, he is said to be very amiable, & a fun loving happy guy to have around. Still, I honestly can't see how a single person could put up even a half serious argument against what I had to say about his lack of self-discipline, and letting his new team down 2 straight years primarily because of that lack of self-discipline. In fact, i'd even go a step farther. According to his old trainer, he was quite deceitful in hiding his weight issues in the run up to contract time. That's just a fact. I fully understand weight issues, but it's not up to me to take responsibility for HIS addiction to food. It's not a physiological addiction either. It''s straight up gluttony, with zero regard or respect for it's effect on being able to do his job. If he wants to eat 3 times what I eat, then he aught to man up & just say, "i'd rather eat as much of my favorite foods as possible, than control myself & live up to my HUGE CONTRACT! It's either my choice, or I just can't control it. So..... i'm backing out of the incredible contract you gave me." That I could respect! Oh. & yes. I'm quite sure the pot makes the self control all the more difficult. Just my opinion, based on observation. Could I be wrong? YES! Do I think i'm wrong? Absolutely not. Many great friends who smoke. No bias. Just observation. Do I want you around the team on the DL while you're high? No. Sorry.
  22. Yes! & i'm pretty darned sure i'm right about every point. Sorry if it offends many to hear somebody say he looked high a good deal of the time on the bench last year. If I thought he looked & acted drunk I would say that. I think he looked & acted high on pot on numerous occasions. & no. The mlb does not routinely test for pot. I respect you thinking i'm full of it, and that you think it's all just my opinion based on observation. You would be correct.
