  1. Since this is more representative of my feelings of the extra-curricular factors, i'll quote myself. Brilliant points!
  2. I guess I wasn't clear. It's the combo at that position. 3rd is called the hot box for a reason. It is jarring! p.s. one other factor???? I know it pizzes some off, but I honestly think the guy is stoned half the time. I think it's a factor. ?? As far as I know, the mlb does not routinely test for this? He's burnt, & doesn't seem to give a rip.
  3. I don't buy th a t Youk. It's not just hand - eye. It's balance, bat speed, moving your hips through the ball, squaring the shoulders up, powering off that back leg. It's very easy to see that his weight is having a MAJOR IMPACT on his body at 3rd. A 3rd baseman, & i've played a decent amount, but not for a long.... time, CAN'T withstand the stress that HIS tonage puts on the body at that position. How the hell do we think he injured that shoulder. Sleeping on it wrong? ??? Well, ok. Maybe? His weight IS higher than it was in SF. He is older. This is why he can't handle hitting along with the fielding. Sure. He still has a FEW cat like moves in him at this weight & age, but they quickly take a toll anymore. His weight IS THE ISSUE! NO QUESTION ABOUT IT! Plus.... it's just fun to call him fat. kidding
  4. It's almost hard to get mad at the guy? He's clearly so out of it, flat out stupid, perennially high as a kite, selfish, self absorbed, dim-witted, or more than likely..... ALL OF THE ABOVE, that it's hard to get really pizzed at the guy. NAHHHHHH! F☆ Yeh! He's a major league DIQUE! So yeh. I guess it is OK to get pizzed at him. Fire away.
  5. I did not think it was insured. p.s. I guess I get the "trade high" move, but Pedey is too integral part of this team. I don't know about you, but once Papi & Pedey are gone it's going to be a very sad day. My wife stalked him up in Seattle last May & got his autograph at the team hotel. Pedey & almost his baby's signature. JBJ seemed like a bonus. Of course, they couldn't very well move her from in front of the team bus door?? Oh! She's good. Watch out though mvp! She's pizzed about your trade Pedroia tag line!
  6. Btw mvp.... "Trade Pedroia?????"
  7. Great news. Let's hope we can DL him for the season. Have some season ending surgery. GET HIM THE HELL AWAY FROM THE TEAM! Then rehab him, trim him down!!!!! & convince some dimwitted, BC like minded GM that he still has that "big game" cache' & unload him. NO TRADE! straight up cash. See if somebody bites on paying 3/ 4 of his contract on the last 3 years.. Maybe 15 mil / yr, 3 yrs.
  8. JBJ is so much more balanced at the plate this year. I think he ends up over .270.
  9. Yes. Costas has become very impressed with himself. But... I tune most of them out. I still find Remy to have very good insight into the game. I liked Orcillo, but I know it got to be a bit much watching the two of them do a song & dance through the last two years of losing. Still, being in Oregon, it felt like home. So I was ok with it.
  10. Great to see you moon!
  11. How do you change your avatar? It's a bitch getting old !
  12. Yeh. Missed the HUGE FLASHING NEON "Game Threads" link. ???
  13. Where are you from Elkton? Oregon?
  14. Hey all. New here. Great game all around!!! Porcello is looking better with every start. Lackey like turnaround RSDD. woof
  15. Hi guys. New here. Still navigating. .. Do you do game threads?
  16. Are there hot mods here? If so, the "no flirting" dictum seems particularly inhuman! Now we must stay away from your women? You know the Irish will not be kept down on this!
  17. Seriously King, we're just like the first great wave of Irish Immigrants to come to Boston in 1847. Potato famine refugees, only to be mocked, ridiculed, harassed, & taken advantage of by the Proper Bostonians (Pike). Which is of course why my people started the first great bar on the Cape, The Improper Bostonian. The important lesson..... Drinking always helps when fishing for Cod, but your line keeps getting fouled by Pike! Oh, if only we Irish Catholics could come to a new land and not be bothered by the new overlord!
