  1. Thanks for the compliment.
  2. I think all players involved in cheating should be punished to some extent. They make a lot of money when they do better, so it's not just about the team telling them what to do. They are doing it for themselves, too.
  3. Good read.
  4. Exactly. The owners will use COVID and lost revenue as an excuse to demand give-backs.
  5. It took centuries to adjust to the change of using horse.
  6. ...and no horse ever bucked a rider/
  7. It is silly to think every innovation and technology based system is fraught with problems, delays and malfunctions. The thing about this idea is that the ump is still behind home plate. If for some reason the system breaks down, the ump just makes the calls himself, until it's fixed. There really should be no delays. I don't think this is as complicated as you think it is. I could be wrong, but I don't want to bore you my random thoughts.
  8. I think we offer ERod the QO, and if he declines, we won't outbid others for him. I'd love to get Semien or Baez, but I still think pitching is our top priority. The problem, to me, is that I don't see any studs I'd sign large and long, so I hope we go for moderate- cost quality to bridge us to the next FA class or to any young pitchers we have that step up their game. I really like Bogey, despite my issues with his defense, but I would not pay him as much or more than some other SSs on the market that play better D and hit similar to him (Semien?) I also like Schwarber a lot, but other areas have a higher need. If we can trade JD, I'd sign Kyle in a heartbeat.
  9. This is said every time. One could also say owners will be making a big mistake, if...
  10. Maybe. I'm not sure what the rules were. I don't think that was as bad as trashcan signalling, but if it was against the rules, then we should have been punished, too. (Not just coaches)
  11. They have a nice stadium.
  12. The whole only following orders rings hollow to me.
  13. Please stop. You are being silly.
  14. It took years for people to adjust to TV remotes.... NOT!
  15. Exactly. It will be seamless and unnoticeable.
  16. You’d hope both sides would realize how fragile everything is these days. I’m hopeful they can get this done quickly.
  17. I am 99.9% certain the strike-ball call will be whispered in the ear of the ump in a split second. What makes you think it won’t? It will be seamless and unnoticeable. There is no hint of antiseptic, except it might clean up the swearing by Drunk fans not screaming at umps as much.
  18. The players never paid a price.
  19. Stop.
  20. Not even one second. Think of all the times a batter or pitcher think a call is missed and step back to regroup. Not anymore.
  21. I loved Sonny, and the skins are still my second favorite NFL team.
  22. Major League Work Stoppage on December 2nd? https://www.click2houston.com/sports/2021/10/24/major-league-baseball-work-stoppage-almost-certain-on-dec-2/?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=snd&utm_content=kprc2&fbclid=IwAR1zQKQJ6c_T_0cEcQJ3Y5TwXKdzLHbv0GgAwexyrbGqVObefbe7llBvHvs
  23. I don't see the M's getting better. They've tried spending. Nothing works. I don't wish misery on you, but I just don't see success in the near future.
  24. He may still be here, if he didn't want and get so much money.
  25. I don't even do that.
