  1. I think he'll right the ship, and we'll see him in the bigs, at some point, this year.
  2. To me, the biggest danger with Duvall is injury- not suckiness.
  3. Keep the horns tooting! God knows we hear the kazoos blaring when we lose.
  4. Last night, WOO won 11-2. Whitlock 4 IP, 6 H, 0 ER, 1 BB, 6 K Hamilton 3-5 w HR Allen 2-4 w HR and BB Today, WOO lost badly, 16-6 Walter 3.2 IP 7H, 5 ER, 2BB, 1 K CHamilton 2-3 w 2BB and HR Alfaro 2-5 w 2B
  5. It sure was a great one. Falling down 7-1 really got me down.
  6. I suppose they could jerk Whitlock back to the pen, but I wish they just give him a full season as nothing but a starter. My choice of 5 man rotation: 1. Sale 2. Whitlock 3. Kluber 4. Bello 5. Pivetta 6. Paxton (Mata) If all are ever healthy, at the same time, God help us, I'd piggy back Paxton and Bello, or see if Paxton can fill a long relief role. Since Whitlock, Bello and Paxton all seem very close to being ready, and nobody gets hurt in the next 1-2 weeks, we may just keep Bello in AAA to limit his innings total, so he can help later in the year. To me, he is clearly one of our best 5 SP'ers, so he should start, when ready to start.
  7. Maybe a rule should be added to the Rule 5 eligibility requirements that demands a certain amount of time actually spent in the minors- playing.
  8. Sounds as simple as 1-2-4.
  9. We are tied for a WC berth.
  10. Does the date involve watching the UConn game?
  11. Our two best SP'ers might not even be on the 26, right now: Whitlock & Bello
  12. True, but really, that ball should have been caught. Their RF'er took the wrong route.
  13. Bloom must have got lucky.
  14. Gotta love the 5 scoreless innings by Wink, Schreiber, Martin and Jansen.
  15. This team is light years better than the 2021 team. .500 better than they were after 2 games.
  16. Too bad he left Casas on deck. Not a very good teammate!
  17. Fitting: it comes down to Duvall.
  18. Fitting: it comes down to Yoshida.
  19. I'll go with Casas, if we can get to him.
  20. He's leading the Yanks off a "cliff!" LOL
  21. Insightful as always. I just stated how I see the situation, If you don't want to talk the actual issues, fine. I think I know why, but I won't say what should be said. Defending Stork pretty much sums you up to a tee.
  22. Had he just sign Perez a year or two, later.
  23. We already have a few AAA players on the 26, due to injuries. A fully healthy team would be: Sale, Kluber, Paxton, Whitlock, Pivetta Jansen, Houck, Martin, Schreiber, Rodriguez, Brasier, Bleier, Ort McGuire, Wong, Casas, Arroyo, Mondesi, Kike, Devers, Story Yoshida, Duvall, Verdugo, Refsnyder, Turner That would leave ML-ready talent in AAA as... 40 Man Roster Only Bello, Mata, Walter, Murphy Crawford, Winckowski Kelly, Mills Dalbec, Valdez, Chang, Hamilton, Tapia, Duran, Abreu & Rafaela (AA) Others not on the 40: SP: Gudino RP: Sheriff, Mosqueda, Shugart, Dermody, Fernandez (AA) C: Alfaro, RHern, CHamilton 1B: Kavadas (AA) 2B: Sogard, Yorke (AA 2024) 3B: Goodrum, Lugo (AA) SS: Fitzy, Koss (AA) OF: Allen, Crook, Wilson, Sikes (AA) This is not as bad as the AAA team we have, now, looks.
  24. Thank you for your non-overanalyzation post. Very insightful and telling.
