    all fair points. although hope isnt a physical matter thing so the poop hand will always fill first. of couse it is coming from the poster that predicted the yankees to finish ahead of the red sox the past 3 seasons and to beat the red sox in the 2018 ALDS.

    if severino comes back and is close to acelike severino the yankees starting pitching for the postseason will certainly be less worrisome. the yankees vs astros matchup (if it happens) will be fascinating for baseball fans to watch.

    2013 ALCS. not to take shots at Iggy but he did have a huge Error in 9th inning of game 2 + a play he should have made in the 8th inning (ruled a hit) that allowed us to escape a 97% probability of a Loss in that game. the difference between tying the series up 1-1 vs going down 2-0 was HUGE.

    i honestly believe year 12 of that contract will still be a bargain. it is a shame that he is stuck on the west coast. if he was Boston or NY i believe many would have a different view of him.

    well i happen to be one of the baseball fans that values defense a whole heckuva lot. most times i am in the defense > offense camp. but you are right...the DH is different as he is hitter only and cannot negatively effect the game with poor defense. i dont mind paying a premium for that and thats why i answered i would give JDM the 22MM before Chapman (or any other closer really). a #1 or #2 SP? that would be a different answer.

    i do love me some Kimmi. but she and i also disagree on stuff too. (robo umps, clutch, dWar to name a few). it's a lovely give and take relationship that i will not ruin by presiding over her fan club.

    the rain issue will be solved by switching to the new system that is already created (the tennis system). if a player lies about his height it takes all of 2 or 3 ab's for the system to correct to the batters correct height and batting stance.
