    i think last year was coincidence. that being said, i would not be upset if the fired Farrell today. i do not believe he earned to be fired by his "moves" or "not moves" but sometimes the organization has to have someone fall on their sword to try and motivate. does that always work (or even ever work?)? i dont know. but i would get it if they tried.

    it does seem like the players and/or the baseball gods are trying to get this guy fired. right now it seems no matter what move he makes or doesnt make it will blow up in his face.

    actually he sucks because he isnt proven to go 200 IP and he never will because he throws 207 pitches in 5 innings every start....this dude making the all star team is a joke. like holt.

    i get this is sarcasm but who on this forum has ever said that? i never even saw anyone post that they think he is a "good" manager let alone GOAT.

    49 GAMES TO GO. 61-52 currently we are in 3rd place in the division, but leading the 2nd WC spot by 0.5 games over dirty Detroit. Division: 3 Games back but only 2 in the loss column. We need a win streak soon or the negative mojo may be too much for us to overcome. might be good timing....NL team coming in for 3 this weekend while Baltimore is out West. BOYS - IT'S TIME TO GET SERIOUS. i BELIEVE we can do this! who's with me>? LET'S DO THIS!!!!!

    I was really pissed over this one. A great great start by erod. Flip. But now I feel better. Phelps with his 22nd gold and SC30 post have made me smile. I will say it again....Papa smurf or JF need their throat cut to get this team motivated.

    David Ortiz said he has texted, though has not seen, Alex Rodriguez this week. Does he think another team would pick up A-Rod after the Yankees release him Friday night? "I don't know," Ortiz said. "Probably. Who knows? It's kind of a secret right now. We don't know what's going to happen."

    if he's not willing to help the team and run the bases then he can go pound sand. how many times has Ortiz picked him up? or the Red Sox up? Wright can't do it one god d@mn time and pinchrun for him? eff him then. he can go get bent.

    IMO he's earned the right to play. he was the greatest SS in the world that agreed to change position and play 3b because jeter was too big of a cry baby to do the best thing for the ballclub and defer to arod.

    he's not asking to play in a game that could actually effect any playoff race outcomes. he is asking to play the field in his last game as a NYY against the last place Rays. he could commit 17 errors friday night and it wouldnt mean a thing.....

    yankees are doing arod very very dirty. Alex Rodriguez asked manager Joe Girardi to play third on Friday, Girardi said no. A-Rod made the comment just now on the Michael Kay Show on 98.7 FM in New York.

    Pom sucks. i dont need 4 years from now to tell me this was a terrible trade by DD. a sss "all star" starting pitcher that hasnt even pitched more than 128 innings in any year and we trade away a high ceiling top ranked pitching prospect for him. terrible trade by DD. did i say that already?

    thanks man. might have to settle for yelling "thanks" during BP when he is hobbling around chit chatting with the players. at this point i am just hoping it doesnt rain and they play the game. hopefully we can bring some at game mojo.....
