some quick observations from at game Sunday: -It was HOT. Humid, Hot, Sticky, Sweaty. everyone drank alot. -in between innings they would douse the homeplate umpire with ice/water/cooling towels. he earned his pay yesterday for sure. - pedey swung at a first pitch! but unfortunately it was a rocket that the CF tracked down for a flyout. and knowing how superstitious ballplayers are we may not see him swing at another first pitch the rest of the year. - the diving stop pedroia made on defense in a game we were up 16-1 should force mvp to remove "trade pedroia" from his sig. seriously. - benintendi passed the eye test. his swing looks great. i forget if it was his 2nd or 3rd AB but it was vs Lefty and all he got was curveball after curveball. he ended up getting a baseknock to LF with 2 strikes. no way i platoon this guy right now even if young is healthy. - Porc looked GREAT. easy motion. got the ball and threw it. didnt let the big lead change his focus. shook off the early HR and just kept throwing strikes. i cant recall him walking anyone? he's my starter in a 1 game playoff. no hesitation. - Win. Dance, Repeat. is extra fun live and in person. - Mookie. it might be time for some "MVP" chants? - Fenway Park. i still get goosebumps walking up the ramp and seeing the green grass and the green wall. we got there early so i took Manny to the red seat to get an idea just how far Ted hit that ball. when you are sitting there it is mind boggling how far homeplate is.

Just drove 7.5 hours home. Ct was a mess from Bridgeport thru Stamford to ny border. I'm wiped but will post some at game observations in this thread tomorrow...

We made our annual trip up today. Ended up sitting in 3 seats in dugout box 50 row 1 during pregame festivities and no one ever showed up to boot us! Slasher and Boggs at game mojo is EPIC

no, but every bad start equates with the trade not being worth it. every bad start equates with some of us wishing this trade never happened. the flip side would be that every great start would make us forget all about Espinoza. i really wish we had the flip side. but we dont. thanks DD.
