    it's the script. the failure of 1 of the first 2 prevents the 3rd from happening. or if we stack on runs in the 8th or 9th. or obviously if we are getting blown out (L).     He seems to be a good guy. his teammates appear to really like him. i have never heard him say anything negative or throw a tantrum. he does alot of behind the scenes community stuff. no matter where he ends up playing - i will be rooting for Panda to play well.

    you may very well be right. that's one of the fun things about baseball. i dont think we will ever find out though. looks like DD is moving on from Panda.

    yup. seems like DD has started the process of permanently removing Panda from the team. trade or Rafi? that is the question.

    Apologies to everyone i offended by putting Pedroia on my "hate" list and putting Panda on my "meh" list. Once Panda throws a teammate under the bus for the world to see i promise i will drop him down to join Pedey on the "hate" list. actually with factoring in their baseball acumen i could possibly move Panda all the way down to "Despise". In case i forget to do it - please remind me to do it once Panda acts like a little bitch and throws a teammate under the bus. thanks.

He got himself in shape, he's worked very hard. He's continued to work hard. He's worked on the dietary aspect of it. He's worked on the skill aspect of it. "I think sometimes you have to give guys an opportunity before you just jump to the conclusions right away. And we'll continue to monitor his situation. It's up to him to do well and we'll see what takes place."

    i believe given the opportunity to be an everyday player that panda would have positive WAR and certainly do better than now while he is part timing with fill in the blank utility player. i believe he just needs a week or two of 3-4 AB's everyday to get rolling. i believe his defense is adequate enough that it won't matter if its rutledge or him on D.

    one of my alltime favorite players is oil can boyd. so performance and value are definitely not the end all be all when it comes to slasher's players.

    i think the problem is that the teams were warned after the pedroia beaning. and that was the last game of the series. something tells me that whenver we play the Astros next someone is going to get drilled. and that something is called "baseball".....

    so if every team in the majors (except the Red Sox of course) have all 8 position players with positive WAR that would be some serious alternative facts right there....

    it's 21 AB's. he gets a base knock his next two AB's vs a lefty or his BABIP isn't .188 and suddenly it's not so drastic. i'm asking for rutt to sit the pine the next 5 weeks. i'm not asking to bench mike schmidt for those 5 weeks.

    good stuff. so 3 teams out of 30 have 8 position players above replacement level. so, yeah, i think it's OK that our 3B is "below avg".

    MVP pretty much summed it up. without Ortiz keeping him in check apparently Pedroia is a real DB. at least that is my perception this year. Panda has had his role severely diminished and has not said one negative peep to the press/social media. nothing negative has even "leaked" from his agent or "unnammed sources". that impresses me.

    i'm not opposed to this. but if it's done, we have to be ALL IN. he needs to play everyday. not platoon. and if this is done, Panda needs to be gone. so that means DFA and eat his entire salary or trade him and eat his entire salary.
