100% true. i just need to blame someone. these muscle pulls/strains that cost games are frustrating as hell. and it seems the same story every year.
from all the stupid injuries that ellsbury used to get all the way through Betts missing minimum 3 weeks of a playoff season because of a "strain"....
pedroia back for 1.5 games and then gone again? it's ridiculous.....
The spotlight is a real thing. Even more than just playoffs. Some players can’t handle playing daily in an environment like Boston or NY but will thrive in oh let’s say Milwaukee....
Spotlight, the cliff, and clutch are the Trifecta of Reality (ToR)
I love our team. We really just need to cleanup some of these odd strains/pulls/tweaks that cause some of our best players playing time.
I just finished watching yesterday’s game. Good to see JBj with a dinger.
JDM may have been the best signing in all of baseball last offseason. Props to DD for that.
Speaking of our medical and training staff...no surprise that JDM has a stiff back. With our crack medical/training staff...there is always someone with a pull, strain, tear....
Baseball factories (ie Club teams/travel teams) are teaching launch angle/uppercut swings from 10u on up. I do for my 12u team. The days of flat plane/keeping the barrel in the plane of pitch as long as possible are over. It’s a new game and I don’t think it will ever go back unless they deaden the baseballs for an extended time period.....
One solution is to have a balanced schedule for all teams and make 1 division in each league. and that will never happen.
i do think they should have a best of 3 WC series though....
can someone remind me how this 25 year old got this "ab strain"? was it swinging a bat in BP?
this is another one that falls under my years long frustration with Red Sox medical and training staff.
our players are made out of paper.
