Welcome to Boston I am going to the whole series that weekend. Suggest making a whole day of it like doing vaness where all the players pull in and seeing who comes in and who doesn't I did hear though that the rumored ceremony for big papi will be on Saturday the 1st of october not on sunday. Where did you get your october 2nd tickets because there have been a lot of scamming going on on stub hub with that date. It happened to me but stub hub upgraded me to new tickets better seats. I highly recommend paying the 30 and doing the batting practice watch from the warning track. Sign up for red sox nation too because that gets you in early to watch practice from the green monster. I will say this though vaness is the spot to be when visiting because if you get there around 9am you will see big papi and the vets usually pulling in and sometimes people will sign stuff. Also I would recommenced spending $40 and getting two 7 day T passes as you get unlimited bus and subway rides on it. It will save you money in the long run. Bring warm clothes like sweatshirts and some light clothes as the weather here is wicked wacky and sometimes we literally get 4 seasons in a week. Also the $1 programs are a MUST because sometimes they come with rare items. Last year I got one that came with a limited edition big papi 500 ticket and they only made 5000 of them. Tasty burger has a great burger better than wahburgers. Also hot dogs are good at fenway. Dunkin Donuts is good too but you can't bring any food or drink with you into the park they will throw it out. Seen a guy once walk up to security with a iced coffee full from dunkins and they made him toss it. Check out Marshalls and TJ maxx for Red Sox stuff much cheaper than the suvenior store. Also if you get red sox nation for $15 you get 10% off in the team store. I go to fenway a lot during the season and its always a good time. I was just checking out my RSN membership and the red sox have everyone confused. One minute they tell you that you are getting a card then if you look at the details they say that if you don't have automatic renew your not getting a card your getting a digital card accesible through the MLB Ball park app. I had that app and it never worked.

you can still do that today. There is Gate E day of game sales and sometimes if its not a popular team they are playing you can walk up to the box office when they open and they will sell you a ticket.

Not sure if this is the right spot to post this but I wanted to warn people about the 10/2 game. If you bought tickets through stub hub ( All red sox tickets are to be mailed out unless its more than 2 weeks until game date) there are scammers on there selling tickets and then not sending them to the people who purchased them. It happened to me and stubhub upgraded my seats at no extra cost. Seller has until the 7th of June to send me my tickets. Sellers are procrastinating on the shipping and arrival deadlines too.

I looked at it for my cuz who moved to FL a long time ago her son loves the sox and the price for it wasn't that bad at all. The perks you get with it are great.

I agree we need to get rid of Sandoval but I doubt we will be able to trade him any time soon. He will probably be traded after allstar break. I mean so many people say we should get Sheilds for him but hes horrible at fenway and always gives up HR's. He did the same thing at PETCO park and that is a much bigger park than here. Someone said Shields was a solid #2 and I laughed so hard because thats not true at all.

Didn't know you lived so far away. If you want to spend some $$$ try red sox destination trips to fenway. I seen a list of what they give you on those things and I would def do it and I live in boston. You get to go behind the scoreboard which I have always wanted to do that.

Ever tried stub hub? I get bleacher seats all the time for $6 and I bought upper bleacher for almost all my games this year and only paid $150 in total for 15 games. Wicked cheap if you ask me. Fenway doesn't have to be wicked expensive, if you play your cards right. Get a good burger from tasty burger before the game and have a drink before the game or eat after the game. There are many ways to save money. Also you can stand in line at Gate E day of games sales and get tickets for face value.

I only join because I get in early to watch sox practice. They let you watch from green monster. I also only joined because from 2014 and past they would offer one free batting practice watch session from the warning track. Great way to get autographs.

I just renewed my membership last week. Same as last year only given the option of $14.95 they are pushing it aside for Kid nation they want fenway to be more kid friendly.

I spoke to a RSN governor who told me all memberships this year will be digital and they will be the same as last year only one option. They are putting aside RSN for kids nation instead because they want more kids to go to red sox games. Memberships should be available for purchase this week.

If you do not want to pay above retail I suggest day of game sales at Gate E. Get there about 5hrs before the game and stand in line. Mind you if you decide to do this make sure everyone who is going with you is in line with you when they start letting you in to purchase tickets because once they let you in and you buy tickets you can't leave and they can only sell you for example if you have 3 other people with you then they can only sell you 4 tickets. Those 3 other people MUST be with you though in order for them to sell you the 4 tickets, because once you buy them you go right into park. Also any groups of more than 4 or 5 that all want to sit together they usually turn away because they don't have a lot of seats together. I have done the day of games sales many times and yankee tickets are not that hard to get either.

Those are all lotto tickets just like opening day. You need to sign up for emails from the Red Sox, and they send you something that tells you when you can register to possibly get selected to be able to purchase those tickets. I actually got choosen this year and they told me I could either buy 8 opening day tickets or 8 yankee tickets. Got the Yankee game for august 9th. Opening day sold out within seconds because they had a presale the day before for MC card holders.

I ended up getting mine of stub hub because I knew it was gonna be a crap shoot just to get them from the sox. I have been telling people buy them now because later on as it gets closer it will be harder to get tickets for that game and the prices will be a lot higher.

They just released more oct 2nd tickets and within about 5min they were gone again.

I purchased the cheapest seats they had which were at most $18 bucks.

I figured get the whole weekend as it has yet to be announced when the ceremony for Papi will be. Glad I picked up the whole weekend because its now completely sold out until they release more. Ace wanted $100 for a bleacher seat for Sunday the 2nd of October.

I purchased Friday and Saturday and then yesterday more Sunday tickets became available for the 2nd and I got those as well.

Do you think they will play him the last series of the season, or will they do what the Yankees did with Jeter? tickets for these games are selling out fast.

So I had a few presale passwords and was looking to get the last game of the season and its sold out completely, (I know not really fully sold out) stub hub wants $7,777 for a ticket and that's nuts. I can understand its the last time we will see papi in the regular season though.

There are talks that he is going to be the new DH once papi finishes out this last season.

Yeah im not sure about first base. When they interviewed him at winter weekend it seemed like he was more ready for the DH position than first base.
