I look at it this way. The first game they won before going on their run was the last game we played against them in a 4 game series, where we beat them the previous two games, and I think we could have beaten them the previous three if we brought Kimbrel in a couple batters earlier. Good for Cleveland. Great run, historic. And now that it is over. It doesn't mean s***....

I just don't understand what took Cobb so long to figure out what was going on. He must have been in his own world. He didn't even react at all until Benny was about 3/4 the way down the path. maybe even longer.

I almost think this is the post of the year for me. Thanks CP. This team just hangs around. They can't bludgeon another team. They just wont go down without a fight. They will scrap for runs, get to a tie, and then beat you in extra innings. You think you have them on the ropes, and one of the outfielders comes up with a great grab to ruin the rally. You see an opportunity to score, and a bullpen guy comes in and closes the door. You're up a run or two on them, and they get a short rally and tie it. These guys don't go down......... it must be maddening to play them.

This is funny. Because I know for a fact, if he was caught I would have called it a boneheaded decision. I would have chalked it up as "Benni being Benni", as I almost think that is a thing now. And last night I almost posted something about that decision to run as being written down as a boneheaded decision. If there ever was an example of the fine line between boneheaded and aggressive, that play was one of them.

Cobb really lost it after the balk call. Then the steal, then the bad ump call. Cobb had a melt down on the mound..... Will NY just roll over and die already........

I google it. Holy crap. Can you get that WPA somewhere in actual game time? We could use a program where that is calculated game time, with the ability to check against other situations that could have happened.

It gives percentages of WPa for every out? And my follow up question would be ...... how the hell does it do that? Shoot me a web page link please.

That's right. It's a negative, or you could even call it a nuetral, and in no way could be called a positive.

But the percentage you have to win the game goes up or down with each out or runner on base. At any given point in a game, you could calculate the percentage of a win. Even if we forget calling it a "boneheaded" play and call it an out, it affects the precentage of our chance to win the game. One out saved might only give us a very small percentage of winning a game, but 10 outs would start to make that small percentage turn into a greater number.
