That city is insane. The wife and I were worn out after doing a week there. We stayed near Time Square. There is so much to see and do there, I love the city. My wife was done with it at the end of the week, wanted to get back to relaxing Austin.
Took your recommendation and visited the Russian Tea Room. Also hit Sardis. Both were super fun. Ate at other places and had some Italian food that you just can't get down here.
On another note. My wife just became a USA citizen. We visited the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. It was deeply emmotional for me thinking about who this country is made up of and seeing the place where many have come to be a USA Citizen. My wifes some strange Asian emmotional robot, but I think it was good for her also, even though she can't express it.
I've lived in many different places, a few different countries, New York is its own beast.
