  1. Babe tends to start drinking early on days ending with Y.
  2. Past Yankees are not this year's Yankees, in case you haven't noticed. We should thank them for helping the Sox out last night though.
  3. Yup! Get 'em any way you can!
  4. Yup, limiting walks are going to be important. Should be a good game.
  5. We're going to find out how Owens does against a decent lineup tonight. Hopefully, we're pleasantly surprised again. Or the Sox light up the Johnson in his first ML start of the season. Erik Johnson has done reasonably well in AAA.
  6. Nope, not at all. And I thank him for helping the Sox win the ALCS in '13.
  7. LOL You're funny...
  8. Yup, and with Price looking like he needs time to warm up his FB command and E-Rod just coming back, it could be perfect timing! Whether it was Farrell leaning on Buchh publicly or getting in his face privately, I hope he does it every 5 games. Just don't let him backslide
  9. It's always nice to have options.
  10. Yup, Farrell has made some mistakes, but I wouldn't be surprised if they're a result of the pressure he's feeling at the start of the season. The team is playing well. Hopefully, the bone-head moves will be fewer and father between.
  11. No danger of that happening.
  12. Yup, Price isn't all that either, but I'm willing to give both of them some slack. Mainly because the rest of the team seems to have gotten their act together. Granted, they've done it against a couple of punching bag teams. The series with the White Sox should be fun.
  13. ESPN edited out Shilling's bloody sock game from their documentary about the 2004 series against the Yankees. You know, because that game was really not that big of a deal. If that's not a petty, douchebag move, I don't know what is. Deserved or not, that move displays what kind of people are running that company.
  14. If I ever get to the point where a thread title bothers me, I'm riding my bike into a bridge abutment at 90. It's stupid nitpicking.
  15. ESPN's problem wasn't that Curt's social media posts were political. It's that they didn't match ESPN's politics.
  16. I chalk it up to boredom, in YOTN's case.
  17. He's a bum! No HR last night!
  18. Thanks, Kimmi! It is a lot of fun.
  19. Ha! If they're smart enough to know they shouldn't have them yet, they're ready. It's the idiots that really never DO grown up and have kids that are the issue. Oh and ignore the "I don't like your thread title" folks. Some folks have to make up stuff to whine about, when the Sox are doing well.
  20. Rookies. I've got 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. I'm 57.
  21. What that old saying? "These things usually work themselves out?" I'd rather see Swihart work on catching skills while in AAA, but if the Sox think he'll be of more use as a utility player, so be it. At the very least, he may be able to replace Young, if he get injured..
  22. Yup, the guy is never going to figure out how to be aggressive when it's needed, like when against a bad team.
  23. They'll probably be able to unload Clay by july, but Panda is our for the long haul. He's pretty much untradable untill he gets his act together.
  24. You may want to read the first few pages of the "Who to Blame" thread again. Or perhaps you have a different in terpretation of "needs to be gone sooner rather than later".
