  1. With an epic win in seattle today, the red sox improve too 57 and 37. With 68 games remaining, this means if the sox play just 500 baseball here on out, they will still finish with a record of 91 and and 71. What do you guys think the red sox will finish the season at( there final record)?
  2. I have no clue who should start sunday. I looked at rubby's stats for his last start and thought there was a typo for his game era o 162.0 on july 7th, as he gave up six runs and only got one out.
  3. another amazing fact: doubront has only let up more than 3 er's a start only twice this season and hasnt done so since may 8th.
  4. With the help of his big loopy curveball and more efficient pitching this game, Dubront's era is now under 4! Who would thunk that Lackey and Doubront would have been leading this rotation with bucholz out?
  5. Hahahahahahah. My bad, "dinger"
  6. Agreed. As he must have felt the need too adjust, since he hasnt hit a dinger since June 1st.
  7. DAMN IT ELLSBURY. jackie is hitting 343 right now. Bring him back up.
  8. Too bad ells couldnt catch that pop up. We would have been out of the inning with no runs. Instead, doubronts pitch count is high once again and the tribe has 2 runs.
  9. If its gonna be this bad with ellsbury, just put shane in center, nava in right or left, and gomes or carp in right ir left.
  10. Very true. But, in your opinion, rank them by the potential you percieve them to have.
  11. What I mean was out of all of the red sox pitchers in the pen excluding joel hanrahan and including bailey, rank them from best to worst.
  12. In your guys opinion, where would you rank the current red sox relievers, excluding joel hanrahan and including andrew bailey, from best to worst?( you can also include de la torre, even though hes only pitched like 2 innings).
  13. I agree. That is weird. He's just been very good this year at not allowing the other teams to string a lot of base hits against him to not allow runs to score.
  14. Very quietly, alex wilson has been having a very nice season so far. Although he hasn't pitched in many pressure situations, he has a 1.35 era with only allowing 2 total earned runs. Last inning he was absolutely painting on the outside of the plate and getting those pitches called strikes.
  15. Great double pedey. Right to opposite field.
  16. Wow. Demoster really got away with that last pitch to willingham. Josh should have drove that right into the left field stands..
  17. 34 balls already for dempster but he was lucky to get out of that one.
  18. Naps got 58 strikeouts now. At this pace, he'll be right there for about 220 if he doesnt stop laying of terrible pitches when hes down with two strikes. Papi, on the other hand, only has 12.
  19. Almost got a hit there, but nava is beggining too cool off in his past 10 games. Still 3rd on the team with 24 rbis though, which is pretty remarkable.
  20. Here we go again. Hes at 23 pitched ri now and is gnna end up throwing over well over 20 pitches this inning. Its a miracle if he can get out of an inning with less than 20 pitches.
  21. Good first strikeout for doubront. Hes always incredibly inefficient and gets that pitch count way up by the fifth inning. Hes gotta go after guys sometimes.
  22. I honestly think they should just go with buch tommorow. I mean, its the same amount of rest. I guess they just dont want to discourage him so much by skipping two of his starts in a row.
  23. If i'm not mistaken, I think Douby is pitching tommorow. Correct me if I'm wrong though.
  24. Nice job using the opposite field for the hr wmb
  25. You are 100 percent right on that one.
