  1. Why do you hate the best hitter on the team?
  2. I'm obviously biased toward papi.
  3. I guess that hr isn't worth it. He doesn't hustle...
  4. I see what you are saying and I know a number of people are on your side. I just don't find it a big deal. He has put a tremendous amount of effort into becoming a great hitter just like many of the other greats of the game. Being a great hitter is way more important than hustling on the base paths in my eyes. Because of his hitting ability and all he has done for the sox, I don't fiind it a big deal if he lacks hustle, but I can see why some people would have a problem with a ball player making millions of dollars not hustling consistently on the base paths.
  5. He's giving you a great effort where it matters most. At the plate.
  6. Thats the problem of those who complain about certain great players lacking hustle. I personally think it's stupid to knock any great ball player for a lack of hustle. I would rather them hustle, but if they are performing well I don't find it a big deal at all if they don't hustle.
  7. You gotta take the bad with the good. There are plenty of guys who suck that can hustle. Not many guys can smoke a ball like he can.
  8. Wow. Was it that many? I knew he struggled, but not that badly. Thats good for Moncada though. He's not going to be playing second base here anyways if pedey stays. His only real options would be to play third base or the outfield when he mostl likely comes up in 2017.
  9. Thats a lot of errors. His stolen base numbers are impressive (27 in 59 games) and so are his doubles (14). Hopefully his fielding can improve.
  10. Still can't get a quality start. He hasn't had one in two friggin months.
  11. Hahahhahahah thats true. I can stop bitching about him now and just be happy about his solid season in 2013.
  12. If you give up a hit to jbj, who hand't had a hit this month, that could indicate you aren't an mlb caliber pitcher.
  13. This Daniel Norris guy doesn't look too good. I can see why blue jays were willing to get rid of him.
  14. Thats it papi! Nice shot
  15. The number of times jackie swings late on a fastball is ridiculous,
  16. He was pretty good early on last start versus the rays. Then it got out of hand. Just put him in the damn bull pen already. I'd rather have masterson take his spot.
  17. Just heard that from bleacher report. They probably got it from. Rob Bradford though.
  18. Damn. Each teams best power hitter couldn't get it done tonight with the bases loaded.
  19. I hope it isn't. I have no clue if this is normal for him or not.
  20. It has looked like pretty much all this year that he's trying to hit a hr every single time he's up. I don't know if this is different from what he has done in past years because I hadn't watched him since he left boston, but it hasn't worked so well for him this year. He was never a huge hr guy before as he only has one season over 30 hrs. He has power, but I don't know if he can be a huge hr hitter. I would much rather him be a mid 20 hr guy with a good obp and doubles numbers. I hope the sox didn't tell him before the season that they were expecting him to hit loads of hrs and negatively impacted his swing by doing so.
  21. Thats what I'm thinking to. I hope they can get a free agent though and keep Miley as a backup starter.
  22. I want to get a sense of what other people here think who will make up next years starting five to open the season.
  23. The rotation is a complete mess.
