    He’s not a good GM. There was an article in the media today saying how hard it is for other GMs to make a deal with him. In fairness re:Sale-he was hurt way too much.

    His ERA is almost 6 (5.72). We have better options I think. It won’t be Houck. He’s getting TJS.

    Boohler is pitching for his baseball life. Not much time left for him if he sucks.

    Those SP numbers are more than adequate for a #4-5 SP. I don’t get why he’s not been given a more prolonged look this year.

    What he has not been is awful. Last year his era was just over 4. Not spectacular by any means but for a #5 SP it’s acceptable. Probably a better option than Boohler.

    Yes-it was nice to be wrong. But in fairness I never said they wouldn’t win tonight. I said I thought they’d take one of the three games against the Astros. Hope I’m wrong about that too.

    I’ve likely been a Sox fan since before you were a zygote. There have been several missteps on this team , most recently when our incompetent GM couldn’t do his job and decide whether to fortify the team with a bona fide star or two (like the Mariners did) or to decide to play for the future and be sellers. Every other contender improved their team significantly and we got M&Ms. while I agree that they have been playing well and have an especially good outlook for the future (if Henry opens his wallet and Breslow and Cora are fired) I am very tired of last place finishes and .500 teams year after year. So for now they’re the Flops.

    The Jays lose to KC. The Bankees blow a lead against the Marlins and are tied at 10 bottom of the 9th in Miami. Cleveland is back in it too. The Mariners imo are the team to beat in the AL now. They went all in.
