    I gave him a C too. Without the resources to spend, his hands were tied. We are certainly no better than we were at the end of last year, probably a bit worse. Besides, he hasn't been GM for long.

    There really should be a choice called "incomplete". He has not been on the job long, and ownership has given him NO MONEY to play with. Hard to make improvements that way.

    Unfortunately, I am no longer allowed to post humorous pictures here. I think some humor to lighten the mood in that manner would be a good addition, but alas, the mod will fire me if I do it.

    With all due respect VA, while the discussion was between you and 700 everyone who reads this thread is reading what you two are posting. Its not about baseball, and at times that kind of stuff dominates pages here. IMO we are probably better off restricting it to a post or two at most.

    I am going to give Crawford the benefit of the doubt. I know he is one of the hardest working guys on the team during the offseason. I remember reading once about his workout routine; it is very demanding. Its not like he is not giving it everything he has. He is going to have a good comeback year. How's that for being negative?

    Immature jerks like him are best ignored, either with the ignore button or manually, Fred. One day he might grow up and become an adult. We were all his age once and we all did and said some really stupid things. Fortunately, you and I and most everyone else in the world who were kids has matured and can carry on a discussion like adults. This guy does not yet have that ability. I generally ignore what he writes.

    Irrelevant. Did you like the post I did where the ESPN analyst ranked the Sox farm system at #18? What you think about the quality of my posts could not concern me less. I do not post the kind of unsubstantiated drivel here that some people like to write.

    Check the rankings again in a few weeks. Chances are they will be much different. There is no one truth to them; everyone has an opinion. I am concerned at the lack of good pitching there. Position players are easier to get and cheaper than good pitching, overall.

    I find it hard to believe that that is the only reason Francona wasn't hired. I do not find it hard to believe that Henry didn't want to give him a recommendation though. I would not have given him a good one either.
