  1. Listening to the game now.. This kid is developing at a rapid rate right now
  2. Jenny Dell would have more influence in the front office than Ben
  3. With Iggy playing so well i'd say nows the time to test him daily in the bigs. If he does well then we also know where we stand with Bogaerts. Meaning that we will definitely have to switch him to OF somewhere
  4. She definitely would have made this season a little less painful
  5. I've always felt the talent level isn't separated by much from AA to AAA, so I suppose it doesn't matter all that much. He seems to handle adversity very well though. 2 games ago had all those strikeouts. Since then he's had 1 homer and 4 Rbi.. Whether or not he starts in Portland or Pawtucket next season, I think we'll be seeing him in fenway by September of next year IMO
  6. I agree, as long as he doesn't have anymore performances like last night he'll have a good shot at starting in Pawtucket come 2013
  7. No way they're sending him back down. He had one bad game out of what? 11 at Portland? He's doing fine, just a bad night is all
  8. God that looked sweet
  9. Oh sorry I forgot we'd rather have him strike out.....
  10. This kid is raking right now... Can't wait to see his progress come spring training. Something to look forward to for sox fans. Also had a couple doubles today
  11. Not only 2013, possibly an early call up in 2013. Forget August and September call ups
  12. Yeah I agree, plus with Xander not struggling in AA so far it's making Xander look twice the prospect. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't single-A to double-A suppose to be the toughest transition in the minors?
  13. He'll be playing in 2013 with the big boys. At this point I'd be surprised if he wasn't. His development is becoming more rapid, he's like a sponge
  14. I feel the same way. I'm a bit worried that if they do move him it will effect his hitting. It's a tough spot to be in for the front office, cause as far as hitting goes he's way ahead of Iglesias
  15. Glad to see they decided to move him up. AAA doesn't have any talent that could keep him from playing there now, or to begin 2013. I agree though the talent level isn't separated by much. They should seriously start to consider getting him experience in the OF though, preferably RF. Unless they plan on moving Iglesias it's pointless to keep him at SS
  16. I wouldn't be surprised one bit if he was called up late 2013, or maybe even mid depending on how well he does in Portland next season
  17. He's over .300 after another multi hit game .. Almost positive he's top 5 in the carolina league in HRs and BA
  18. August rolled around and he picked it up a bunch! Increased his average by over .10 im pretty sure
  19. I love this kid. Partly cause I'm Dutch, but more so because he's got so much potential
  20. I didn't say I'd want to trade Barnes for Greinke. Im saying they'd be after him in the deal if it were to happen
  21. You think they'd take just Lester? With the way he's playing? That's a joke
