    Oh, there's no doubt that tek was the team leader for years , and was exceptional at blocking balls in the dirt etc.... Just seems like we've the stolen base jackpot for yrs for opposing teams.... Hard to believe its been all our catchers though.... But then again, we've had a revolving door of coaches too....idk

    I'm just saying, and without knowing which player(s) had not so great minor league careers that ended up being better than average in the majors off-hand.... But, I would hope you could see what I was getting at...there's probably been hundreds? Of guys who's minor league numbers weren't "amazing" that had good to better than good MLB careers .... Again, I'm not saying ciriaco is " one of those guys " just saying, can't always judge a book by its cover

    Seen a couple more post about "ellsbury being prone to injury" ...... Seriously-Brennan? I think...... If you watch the game, you would know both injuries were "freak accidents".... Too imply that ellsbury is made of glass is ridiculous

    I gave a B considering the circumstance ... Yeah they are playing horrible, but bottom line is they are still very much in the hunt for a WC... Tell me any other team can lose 2 MVP caliber players ( Crawford receives votes every yr but last yr and ells should of won last yr ) has 2 of their best healthy offensive players struggle the 1st half ( gonzo/petey ) lose their closer in free agency then lose his replacement.... Then all the various injuries to petey/youk/WMB/bucholz/Sweeney/Ross/etc..etc...etc That's alot to deal with, yeah being 9 gms back for the division sucks ball, but this team is about to be healthy real soon..... Remember the cards being 10 1/2 back last yr?? All we have to do is get in, then get hot For that reason they get a B.... If all the above happened to almost any other team in the majors, they would be 20 gms out of the WC

    I have a feeling that westmoreland is the type of kid that doesn't want anything handed to him.... Honestly though, would you rather work your ass off in the minors for years to earn a few MLB ab's or fight your ass off to come back from. Brain surgery only to have the sox " maybe kill your competitive edge" by giving you a "freebie"........ I'd rather see Ryan earn it ( which I hope/think he will ) instead of having it be a publicity stunt... Willing to bet he's thinking the same way

    So my brother said I can watch all the old sox gms on MLB on either my ps3 or Xbox ? Haven't tried yet, but in case I fail ( which I'm sure I will ) is this true? Forgot to dvr last nights gm and forgot my phone in the car to tell people where I was sitting, but I'm pretty sure I was getting some major tv time... Had 1st base box seats 10 rows up from the on deck circle, girl sitting next me had 20 calls in the 1st telling her we were on tv...( everytime a LH hitter was up and they showed a side view of said hitter, you could see us right over their shoulder ) Just wanna make sure I wasn't making an ass of myself after drinking :thumbsup:

    I don't think anyone believe's that Ortiz would be a good defensive option.... Could he of managed throughout his career if he had to play a position , yeah, would be an average defensive 1b at best, but that would of been sevicable.. And I'm assuming he would of gotten a little better over time
