It's just hard to look back at last yr and remember how good aceves was in all kinds of situations, dont see why you should mess with something that worked so good........ Side note this MLB package is really pissing me off with shady coverage....$180 you think they would get THEIR s*** together

you do realize padilla is essentially last years aceves......just because a guy can come into a game and shut down the opposing team for 3-4-5 innings, doesnt mean they can handle being the closer....exp....aceves ...2 gms 0 outs recorded 5 batters faced 4 hits 1 hbp 3 runs

when has Bard proven he can close? maybe he cant, but a career 9.7 k/9inn and 1.05 whip.....and his 2 month long stretch of being unhittable last season leads to a lot of hope

remember back in 2007 when the sox flirted with making papelbon a starter, then an injury to mike timlin, squashed that ( thank god ).....we have a potential 5th starter in cook, dice-k should be ready at some time this year ( whether he will be the 18-3 dice-k is prob a pipe dream, but who knows ) .....bottom line is some guys just are not cut out to be closers, and some that are just cant do it on a big stage like boston....i know the offense can carry this team most of the way, but a few more late inning blowups like this and some serious changes are going to be needed

am i the only one that believes we would be 2-1 or at the very least 1-2 with bard as our closer?......i understand that management wants bard in the rotation, but once your closer is shelved until the all-star break, isnt then a closer more important than a 5th starter?

Long time sox fan........got a question about gameday tickets for a yankees game..... im from mass, lived there half my life, i now live in florida, but always make it back a few times a yr to go to fenway....now, i've done the gameday thing a few times, great experience, and have even gotten some great seats a few times ( RF box seats front row about 25 feet before peskys pole for $52!!!! ) but its been against teams like the blue jays, orioles etc...as it turns out i'll be in boston for the 4th of july this yr, and the sox just happen to be playing the yankees.....we supposedly already have tickets ( through a family friend ) but just in case, or maybe we will want to catch 2 gms.... i know the "rule" is no more than 5 hrs before gametime you can start waiting in line, but does that actually apply to yankee gms? for other gms we've gotten there 3-4 hrs before and have been in the first 5 people each time....how early should i expect to get in line to be comfortably in the first 50 or so? keep in mind, my brother and i are die-hard sox fans and if its even possible we are even bigger fans of fenway park, and our ages 31 and 22 , allow us to wait pretty much however long it will take.....Thx in advance
