Totally out of left field, but 7 innings of 3 or fewer runs given up is a "quality" start... Does that extend to 9 innings 4 or fewer runs?? Always wondered
Exactly..... I grew up an hour from Fenway, I too played little league?? Lol but you honestly don't start "following" baseball until your a little older
He's trying to say that when he was 8 , on school nights- he was staying up to 10 or so watching the world series....... Yes, I've been a sox fan " my whole life" but I know I don't remember anything or prob even cared that much when I was 8.....
That's what kills me... 27 rings 27 rings!!!!! Unless your atleast around 40? They've only seen 5?6? How can you brings rings into an argument when the majority of them happened before their parents were born?? Lol
Since 2000..... Yankees 2
Red sox 2
About 2 yrs ago I would say yes, now..... Idk.... I see alot of semi-hard line-drive outs/pop ups turning into singles and singles turning into doubles with his speed or lack there of
I'm not saying we lost BECAUSE of the pen, just saying beckett did what you you want out of your starter EVERY time they took the mound...7 IP 3 runs? I'll take that all yr from all 5 starters
You have to admit, going into the bottom of the ninth down 1 and down 4 are 2 completely different situations.... For one, maybe youk takes off on contact on sweeneys hit etc.... Maybe we bunt youk over... Etc etc .... I put this loss more on the pen than Beckett .....
To be fair to the rotation, a 1 run deficit is acceptable any day against any opponent ..... Not sure but Lester's 1st 2 gms 15 ip 4 runs... Beckett 2 games 14? Ip 4 runs... Bard 7 ip 1 run , not sure about dubronts good start but that's 6 very quality starts
My point is, how much better do you think we'd be if we kept pap as our closer, bard as setup, aceves as long relief... And then added these other guys as " pieces".....
