I believe that Yes our pitching sucked in that dreadful Sept. But i also believe our situational play was worse (aka) Crawford booting that single to left in Baltimore.

Completely agree with you User Name. I do believe a healthy Bucholz would have helped and probably would have stopped or subsided the bleeding.

Philips was a bum plain and simple i cannot tell you how many bad FA'S he signed over the years here it was pathetic.

That's true but in a crazy way he would provide a spark if you want to even call it that. Valentine is not a horrible manager but he always seemed on the cusp on elite but never quite got over the hump aka the METS lol.

You know i still don't agree with a pitcher who starts around 34 games a season getting an MVP award over a everyday player that plays on average 154 games a season. I mean Verlander won the cy young shouldn't that be the pinnacle of a pitchers MVP?.

Are we actually trying to make Paps out to be the best closer in baseball?. I would rather get a starter then a closer at this stage in the game.

That i do agree on i believe a good solid discussion can be achieved without someone crossing a line of accusing others of being something they are not. I hope everyone looks at it that way considering we all are deeply passionate of our sox.

He knew about it for years and since who he is it gets swept under the rug he's guilty for even knowing and not doing a damn thing. Paterno should be held accountable just as much as everyone else plain and simple.

Fact is JD Drew was a decent player for us for 5 years not great but not horrible. But he was without a doubt a guy that got bit by the injury bug quite frequently and that's what really hindered his time here unfortunately.
