    Why don't you keep your powder dry until all the evidence is in. There is plenty time to go off on all the guilty parties once the commissioner has adjudicated the case.

    If Hinch is sanctioned, one would expect Cora to be as well. However, despite some of the more sensational reports in the media, I do not think the details are known. Until MLB and the Commissioner investigate and make a final determination, I think no one should rush to judgment.

    Bloom's rep is one of being a steady and thorough baseball exec. Most Boston sportswriters cautioned against expecting Bloom making any major moves quickly. I think this is an instance of the parable of the tortoise and hare being most appropriate. I for one would rather that he make sound moves over quick ones.

    MLB is likely to sanction several over this fiasco. I suggest we wait and see what MLB and the commissioner actually do before we start firing people.

    He may not be I know he still considers himself to be a viable outfielder. I just haven't heard that he has indicated any interest in 1st. And I wonder why.?

    I really do not understand why JDM seems to be reluctant to try 1st. I could be wrong but has he ever expressed any imterest in playing 1st.

    No one wants Pedey to succeed more than I. While I won't bet against him, he does face long odds. And he has earned the right to try. If Bloom at Henry's direction does trade off key players, Pedey's comeback attempt may well be the only thing that keeps a significant number of Sox fans watching the games.

    I think the fact that Cashman could stick it in Boston's eye was a major consideration. In any case it was ancient history. If Ben does get the Pirates job and can return that franchise to respectability and the playoffs it would be a remarkable achievement and truly propel him into the ranks of the premier GMs

    Pedey has earned the right to try. I think Henry and most Red Sox fans respect that. One unintended consequences of his being in camp' busting his butt to make the team, will be he will be a positive role model for the younger players. As the late Jimmy V said "Don't give up Don't ever give up!" And I say don't bet against Dustin Pedroia.

    Dustin Pedroia is has more than earned the right to do whatever he wants to do in baseball, he can try and win a starting job or choose to retire. Whatever he decides to do should be accepted by every grateful Red Sox fan for the.pure joy he given us.

    Just finished reading The Athletic's reportage on the Pirates. Based on what they report I think "loser organization" is an understatement.

    Pittsburgh's clubhouse is a mess. It is as bad as the Boston clubhouse was when BV was running amuck. I think the fact BC did not hire BV but helped clean up the poop left behind is the kind experience ownership is seeking to right the Pirates ship.

    Not to diminish BC creds but the cynic in me thinks Cashman's interest in gathering intelligence on his main competition may have also played a part in the offer. Re the Pirates the talk on MLB radio is that Pittsburgh may make a decision as early as Wednesday. Their thinking is that Ben's experience in Boston gives him the edge.
