Professional baseball at the major league level is billionaires contracting millionaires to perform a service. I can't feel sorry for either of them and could care less how they work out their differences so long as they do.

Could not agree more. Years ago when our daughters were young we had seasons tickets to the local Carolina League Class A team. My wife and I and 5 kids would go to the game several times a month during the summer. Could never afford to do that with a major league club.

I knew that there was not going to any minor league ball this year. My concern is for its long term survival. Minor league baseball is huge in this area. It's loss will be devastating.

You are correct! The upcoming CBA negotiations are going to be a real pip. Also I worry about what this will do to Minor League Baseball!

Peter Gammons made an observation recently that is interesting. He believes that the covid pandemic has so affected the economics of baseball that Mookie Betts is unlikely to be able to sign a deal as good as the one he turned down on Boston. Time will tell.

Some one told us that the most expensive dinner for two at the Inn at Little Washington with some of their exclusive wines ran more than 25000 dllrs. The wine lists has several wines that exceed 20000 a bottle.

The owner of the Inn in little Washington Va one this country's best and most expensive restaurants has announced that his tables empty because of social distancing will each have mannequins at each seat. BTW if you are thinking of reserving a table the average cost for dinner for two is about 650 dllrs

Expressing a desire to return to Boston would hardly undermine Roenicke. I think it is fairly obvious to anyone who looking at the situation objectively that Bloom would prefer that Cora manage if he does manage again, elsewhere. I accept Cora's statements at face value. I can understand why he would want to do something other than manage. I hate to shatter your wishes but Cora isn't going to manage in Boston anytime soon.

I know you are incapable of understanding this but highly unlikely doesn't mean that he is never coming back but rather that the current statements of both Cora and Bloom means that no one is calling for his return. No one is saying that we got to get Cora back. And I believe Cora when he says he may do other things. Now you can disagree. But you can cite nothing any one in either the media or with the Boston Red Sox or in Cora's camp that has said that Cora is coming back. In the absence of such statements you have no basis to conclude that he is likely to return other than your grief at his loss.

No s*** Sherlock. But it refutes your New York meme. The NY Post merely reported the same thing that was reported out of Mass. BTW I never said that CORA wasn't going back to Boston but merely that he was unlikely to do so. A summary of Cora's own words and a logical inference from Bloom's statements leads to a very reasonable opinion that neither party is rushing to a reunion. Cora flat out says that he wants to try other things. I repeat for all you star crossed Cora lovers you are indulging in wishful thinking because you are grieving that your love is not chafing at the bit to return to Boston. Keep the torch light burning.
