  1. it beats me how bad our starting lineup looks when we compare our to TB starting 6 pitchers. Price Shields Hellickson Nieman Davis and Moore... and i bet our bullpen if Bard is going to be in the starting rotation which will be comforting if he starts to figure out the walks, but the bullpen beyond Bailey (still a slight question mark) and Aceves looks like a complete joke. Melancon Morales Albers Bowden Miller ... I have a feeling this season due to lack of both starting and bullpen depth is going to hurt and my stomach is already crunching and we havent even started the season ^^ jung i have to agree, so many times the starting pitcher left with a marginal 1-2 run deficit and bullpen does what it did best last year 2 runs here 2 more there... grrrrrr
  2. ^^ holy crap i read about Bobby Jenks ...did not see that coming.
  3. even though i voted for Padilla i now feel Doubront is getting ready to take that spot. and he might rather be the 4th starter. Last spot would be up for grabs and even though Aceves in ST is showing great poise, he is more valuable in the bullpen. that leaves Bard Cook Padilla and Miller, Bard needs to be in the bullpen plain and simple. i dont see him in starting rotation come opening day. and out of the 3 one of them for sure is not making to opening day and my guess would be Cook. anyone know status on Bobby Jenks and Rich Hill?
  4. How long have you been a fan? Since 2003 after reading about how Aaron Boone denied yet another WS chance to the Redsox. read about the curse of Bambino and it made me very intrigued. and since then i have become a fan. How did you become a Red Sox fan? 2003-2004 the loss of game 7 and then 04 ALCS against the Yanks.. and "I BELIEVE" sign made me a fan for life Who is your favorite current Red Sox player? Pedey, Lester(i have little bitter taste after what happened last year but still love his arm and his presence on the mound) Papi, Who is your favorite all-time Red Sox player? Ted Williams, Yaz, Pedro, Big Papi, Trot Nixon and how can i forget Gabe Kapler even though not all time he is definitely on my list of favorite redsox players, Jonny Damon prior to him becoming a Diva.. Who is your least favorite Red Sox player ever? Julio Lugo, Renteria, Manny the year he got traded, John Lackey. What state/country do you live in (to see how spread out the fan base is here)? Gurnee, IL What is your favorite memory being a Red Sox fan? 2004 ALCS games, i have all 7 games on DVD. still have those memories of Wakefiled working extra innings striking the side out Ruben Sierra and Papi hitting the bomb.. the best sports moment not just in the decade but since the start of Baseball i feel. When was the first time you ever went to Fenway Park? Yet to visit Fenway.. any help folks with some tickets? Who is your least favorite Yankee player of all-time? I respect Jeter and thats about it, everybody else is trash.. but i hate Tiexera, feels like hitting him with the ball every single time he comes to plate, and ofcourse Arod.
  5. Rolling on the floor laughing my @ss off ..
  6. hats of to Jason Varitek. i will remember him for the only redsox to punch A-roid.. the calmest guy in the idiot bunch takes a shot at him.. priceless..
  7. voted for Padilla but i think Doubront and Aceves are excellent candidates too. but with Padilla his stuff is explosive if he gets it going.. big if though..
  8. ^^ agreed. bringing back Milwood we would have had a better chance then Bedard crapping every 3 innings with injurry.
  9. quote of the day...
  10. None option if available otherwise it has to be Pedey.
  11. Hats off Tim Wakefield... loved him for the role he played in 2004 and 2007
  12. thanks. i guess i rest my case then.
  13. is there a stat that shows Youkilis hitting really well at home compared to away.. i know his HRs are a lot more pulling at green monster. maybe Ortiz needs to be a #4 away and Youk #4 at home..maybe i am just nitpicking.. oh well
  14. i guess i worded it wrongly but Dojji cleared my point. cool it. Papi is more fearful compared to Youk even though stats are very similar. maybe AGON might get that extra pitch or two every game that he can drive..
  15. if Papi hits behind AGON he might see more pitches to hit too. I feel Youk somehow doesnt bring any threat even though he definitely gets on base. 1) CF Ellsbury 2) 2B Pedroia 3) 1B Gonzales 4) DH Ortiz 5) 3B Youk 6) LF Ross 7) C Saltalamacchia 8) RF CC/Sweeney 9) SS Aviles
  16. By Indian i mean the country India. I started following redsox after the famous 2003 loss in the AFC. and i was strongly believing in 04 that there was hope and "I BELIEVE" sign by fans just kept my faith even stronger that this team can pulloff a win. REST IS HISTORY  REDSOX FAN FOR LIFE HERE!!
  17. that is definitely a glaring stat. Tek has said it time and again, it has to start with pitching and we clearly had nothing coming out from our no 3 4 5 starters 1 game good the next 3-4 bad.. and Beckett and Lester didnt help matters in the month of Sept. they never showed the veteran quality start needed by them. Look at Chris Carpenter now thats an ace. Beckett isnt there.
