to have a backup plan for 2 OFers, 2 pitchers and 2 closers.. is just too much dont you think! edit: not to mention Bard went from bullpen to starter so we lost Melancon Bailey Bard... the FO is partially responsible for this mess but no other team has 4 key components missing Ells Bailey Melancon Crawford. i dont count Lackey and dicek as that important but dice-k could be handy bullpen arm.

problem is with a guy like Punto who fills in when Youk is down, so WMB can keep hacking at AAA, if we bring him up and DFA Punto and now Youk gets back healthy, WMB becomes a bench player, not sure if we want the kid missing 3-4 days and getting his swing out of whack.

You didn't get his point . I think he.meant a 5 run lead shouldn't be a clutch situation but it turned out to be one. Against a meek lineup.
