    Lookout for this kid, he was the prospect Reds traded in Latos trade along with Yondor Alonso (hope i spelled him right) and he is bashing the ball hitting with power as as switch hitting catcher. I know once scouting reports come out and find his weakness it will get more challenging but 4HR in 6 games for a rookie is impressive.

    ahh my bad... well if you havent watched fever pitch i would say start with that. its extreme but will give you a decent idea. watch the faith rewarded series here on youtube I loved when Schilling says "Why not us" 2004 brings back memories and they are still fresh. and if you are trolling i am going to lay a curse on you.. for making me emotional again.. just joking

    some peeps here think he is putting the me first attitude. but i think thats not the case. Papi deserves to get a 3 year deal and an extension for the 4th one. He needs to retire as a REDSOX agreed.

    ^^ awesome stats ex1 thanks. goes to show a speedy runner like CC or Ells can create a bit of a ruckus to steal a base which can have the pitcher changes tactics and cause us to get 1 more run or an error or something. i would say be would be split right now in those close games if one of Ells or CC were onboard. hoping that after the ASB we get on a better run, first half games at times have looked really bad. i dont remember seeing us loosing so many games and in the fashion that we have lost this year .. its attrocious its like the baseball gods have decided redsox are the team we are going to pick on since last year.. where are my angels on the outfield for my team? i am calling for them in this series against the Yankees, if you are listening show up and help win the games!!!

    the fact that you think it is cheesy offends me, you dont know how much the fans have taken from the stinking yankees year after year when we cant pull that win and if we do we couldnt get it done until 2004 so unless you take it right back you aint getting anything from me.. no pun intended. welcome to talksox

    I still believe we can take up a fight this year. I understand a lot of players will have to play their butts of but I don't expect anything less from the players. We need a turning moment and I am hoping it will come soon

    but the mofo yankees will bastardize a way to sneak a win. the umpire is going to get a huge paycheck from Steins and he is going to give way more calls in their favor.. it seems like everything works out in their favor since the day i started to watch baseball.. ughh

    seriously pumpsie, how can we blame a player for him to get injured. what is his motivation to injure himself, think about it for a minute. are you even listening or hearing before you type something...

    it could be an organizational problem... The amount of injuries we have is by far the most any team can adapt to. The condition coaches and the medical staff needs to be better prepared when a player complains or even if he doesnt complain to figure it out.. thats their job.

    i think 2007 spoiled us. we expect to be in the thick of it with injuries which we currently are. and sometimes its not possible. but you bet the players on the field are trying as hard as they can ... Crawford and Ellsbury get back and we have a better lineup. compared to one with Kalish and Nava esp against RHH pitching. Bailey can strengthen the bullpen even more. BV will be facing some tough challenges on who gets DFAd. Punto/DiceK might be the ones. and Kalish is likely headed to AAA. I still Believe they can pull something spectacular. but SP needs to step up. Morales/Cook/Beckett/Buchholz are starting to get that. Lester needs to be on his game from now on and be lights out for the remainder and we might be in good shape. we need to win every series from here on. simple. play .667 baseball maybe loose a few here and there. but have to keep winning 4 out of 5 series.

    i blame the Mariners game where we had Salty on and nobody out with runners on 1st and 2nd.. in extra innings. you move the runners over, not swing for the fences. that was in my mind the biggest mistake BV made. all we needed was 1 run, more would have been nice, but he is not adapting.. as far as Parker, he has been good, and has a park that keeps the ball in more often that not. and i am afraid Cespedes is going to raunch all over Lester tonight.

    i think we need to trade for a decent starting pitcher.. and i bet we are going to loose some decent prospects which i absolutely hate for rentals.

    in my view Doubront is gassed, i dont think he has much left in the tank. at this point Cook and Morales are stepping up but seems like another arm is definitely a need for the team now.

    first of.. basic baseball strategies for crying out loud need to get few more runs across the board, move the runners over when its an extra inning game... BV could have informed Salty to somehow move the runners in that game.. Agon has to step up and get more XBH. he is lathargic when he runs on the bases and he is not even in his 30s.. i am sick of that. and as SemperFi suggested. SP better step up. and it starts with Lester tonight.
