  1. I had given up on Felix, glad he is getting his act together. I always thought of him being a 4inning pitcher but goes to show the unpredictability of this game. Lester continues to struggle and Felix has been the opposite. keep it rolling. yo wassup Thunder!
  2. why is there a photo of Harang but not for Doubront... why why
  3. yes this please!!!
  4. true. well I am a redsox fan, but for hockey I root for my home team. solid effort by both teams.
  5. I can say this was by far one of the best final series.
  6. to my signature it goes.
  7. he has a 4.45 ERA and he has 2-3 bad games and a good game somewhere in between except when he pitches the Yankees. for a #5 starter he is alright but we generally have 4+ innings by the bullpen whenever he pitches. and the 5.2 innings per start is last years stat not this years.. atleast from this link that I have http://www.overthemonster.com/2013/4/23/4256418/felix-doubront-boston-red-sox-rotation-starting-pitching
  8. Doubront has mostly had s***** starts except against the Yankees for some reason. otherwise he is generally at 100 pitches in the 5th inning and can barely get out of the 5th. he would be the guy to get out of the rotation.
  9. am i the only one who thinks Doubront is tanking out way too early and if he is young and still cant go beyond 4 2/3, his best place would be a long reliever in the bullpen and maybe just maybe Aceves might be more likely to get starts since he has been way better than him. Doubront is perfect for relieving and giving us 3 innings out of the bullpen. and I have to agree with Soxsport Iggy has to be playing every day even if it is late in the innings esp in OT games like the one yesterday.
  10. :ortiz: been a while since papi had a walkoff loving it..
  11. That I agree. Basketball is repeatable skill .. baseball to an extent is dependable on few more things
  12. Pedey you awesome man
  13. Ok then how about Michael Jordan..in baseball if you are at .300 its a feat. So in every clutch situation 2/3 times a decent player will miss it. Again its really hard to define but when you say clutch all I can think of is papi in 2004
  14. Papi in 2004 alcs. Clutch...
  15. I was saying the same thing as well. Webster has to be in and Doubbie either can pitch 3-4 innings when the starter doesnt have it so we can preserve the bullpen or he can be on the DL and get fit for crying out loud.
  16. i think i do agree with this. he is using up the bullpen and this is where arms of Aceves/Doubront would be amazing. both Doubbie and Aceves could chew up innings in meaningless games, and Tazawa Koji can be used for better games IMO. and that would mean the 5th starter would be Webster. this should happen if Doubbie keeps failing to go beyond 5 innings, problem is Webster might have the same issue, but then you have Aceves/Doubs to go multiple innings. which currently we only have Mortensen to rely upon. oh and when is Morales coming back.
  17. if they paid Carl Crawford 6 year deal, Ellsbury being a Boras client would likely want something in that range and I dont think Boston is going to do that... esp since JBJ can bring similar skills to the plate in center field. If Ells is okay with 13 mill offer for 5 years. done,, anything in the 17+mill i would walk away.
  18. Well but gonzalez has not .. looking at the brighter side
  19. Woot. Thank you was about to give a shout out to you
