Albers has been so unpredictable lately. Not sure if he is our April Fools reliever or our Halloween reliever. He is so unpredictable I can't even make up my mind about that!

I do wonder if NESN using the same plate coverage software that Brooks uses. I never take the time to have them both running at the same time.

No Don, Albers is not in to relieve Buch. He is in to relieve Miller....Don....Don....Don Can't believe Byrd made that play.....Heck I can't believe Byrd found the thing!

I should have refreshed the screen before posting Elk...I would have seen your post. Also, that looked like a strike to me at least by the methods NESN has at its disposal.

Buch does not do himself any good turning into a semi-basketcase whenever he gets guys on base. I would be willing to bet that had as much to do with his getting the hook as anything. Late in the game...low scoring....don't need Buch balkin' the Rays around the bases.

Wow...Buch did not want to come out there. Hindsight is 20:20 though and I really can't say for sure what V should have done. But I do have to say that when V comes out I am usually surprised and when he waits to come out I am usually screaming for him. Not to say I know what the hell I would be doin' in that dugout but I am often surprised either way.

Damn...amazing how the ball finds your weakest points like it had a Damned laser attached to it. Remember last year when the ball kept finding CC? Got to point where you thought he could go behind the Monster like Manny used to and the ball would still find him.

' If by "heats up" you mean hitting more doubles and singles i can see that happening. That is not even a home run swing he is taking even when he has a chance to get to the kind of pitch he should be able to take deep. I don't think we will really learn what is going on with Agons till after this season but either he is concerned with possible injury and will not swing like he used to or the shoulder just lingers on and is actually weakened and hurting him.

Hey now that is the first 12-6 curve I have seen from Buch...he has slowly been getting that pitch back but it started out almost 3-9 and then went to something like 2-8. That one was pretty darned close to 12-6.

Really can't sit change up the way the guy is pitching and the way the ump is calling this game. If the pitcher can get both his FB and change for strikes in good locations or with this ump off the plate even, your goose is cooked. You really want to sit FB and if he misses with location on the change, just stick your bat out and dump the ball into the outfield. If you sit change you will never catch up to the FB.

I have given up on the umps this year....I think we have had maybe one or possibly two good games from umps especially at home plate, maybe six or seven mediocre games where they had odd ideas about where the plate was but were at least consistent and the rest of the games have just been piss poor....an embarrassment....getting close to the NBA which I did not think possible.

Sweeney has played well in Center......Nava in LF, Sweeney in Center has kept both Byrd and dmac out of there which has really helped the overall quality of play from the outfield. Ross is kinda' iffy in RF but he should have less trouble on the road than at home. Our RF is very tough compared to others.

as per our discussion the other night...if he keeps looking for that FB outside he is making it easy for them to jam him inside...he is always looking to extend his arms and has been meat for that inside pitch.

Well at least they worked the pitch count up on him but that was a hell of a job of pitching out of jam...had WMB all crossed up and finally punched him out.
