  1. s*** s*** s*** please somebody go yard......
  2. Don...you are hopeless...who gives a s*** about this useless streak....meaningless..Morales usually comes in with the bases full of the enemy so all the ER's go to the guy pitching ahead of him.
  3. What a suck ass HR that was...hate this f***in' phone booth
  4. Well we are not exactly winning this game so that Agonz HR could be meaningful. I do wish he had cleaned out a FB instead as that would really say somethin'. But hitting a mistake like that can get a guy started ....we will see. Best thing outta' that might be Agonz encouraging himself to SEE MORE PITCHES. That first pitch was to low while being on the outer half...maybe a teaser trying to get Agonz to chase a pitch close to where he likes it. Did not swing at it and what does he get....a big mistake reward pitch.
  5. I did not notice till just now but it looks like Ross must be wearin' some sort of shin guard under his left pant leg. That must be real recent cause he likes to wear sox showin' most of the time.
  6. Gee Adrian maybe taking a pitch now and again might yield a better pitch to hit ya' think...bout time.
  7. Oh God...Albers in this telephone booth.....
  8. Damn if could only get a couple guys on base ahead of these HR's...even one guy
  9. Man that was crushed
  10. I know...Sixers would really be embarrassing themselves if it were not for the Heat saving them from the distinction of Most Embarrassing in the East. How anybody stays a fan of that bunch of jerk-offs is beyond me. Got close to having a fist fight...on their own bench!
  11. C'mon Sox, get some runs on these dicks!
  12. I don't think there is a way around the tax deal...I think it is only a matter of what year it is counted. We had this figured out here at one point.
  13. Bard asking AGonz how to get hitters to swing at first pitches like he does:D:D
  14. Yea I just can't wait to see what a force John Lackey is going to be pitching in the AL East in 2015! The consolation prize may be the best deal we get outta' this...if he sucks we get to get rid of him.
  15. That is exactly right Bren and that's my point.
  16. Lots a good it is doin' us right now. Do you really think that is going to turn that contract into a good deal?
  17. Probably one of the real indications of an issue with Theo and pitching was when we found out (late of course) that Theo knew about Lackey's elbow and signed him anyway at the same money offered before finding out about the elbow. All Theo did was add some meaningless language to the contract that related to the elbow that was never going to save the Sox from anything. "Gee Theo while we were giving John his physical we found out about this elbow issue. He can pitch right now but no telling when it is just going to go to hell." "Oh thats OK......we've already counted this as spent money anyway. It's all good man."
  18. s*** we'd have all shot each other by now!
  19. Stunning...that was the first pitch on or near the outer half I have AGonz take in about three weeks
  20. That got out in a hurry.
  21. Well I think Bard has done fine as a 5th starter. I do think that if there is one thing that I have noticed the longer he goes into the season it is that I have come to the conclusion right or wrong that this has been and is less about giving Bard an opportunity to learn to start and work his way farther into a rotation spot and more about the Sox just wanting to get innings out of him as the 5th starter. The Sox really did not have a good option at the start of the season. Cook was not ready, Padilla was surely not ready at the start of the season and likely is not ready to start now. If I saw more of an effort by the coaching staff to work with Bard I might feel otherwise and I could easily be wrong about this. It just seems to me that they are not doing nearly enough to help Bard along and help him progress. He seems pretty much on his own out there.
  22. No, if you look carefully, AGonz first pitch swings at anything on the outer half that looks like it is belt high....and I mean anything...because he is trying to go the other way as often as possible. I do think this is no longer a secret and pitchers are now trying to get the ball a little farther outside or a little farther low and outside and get Agonz to chase a little bit. The pitch from Hamels that he swung at is more like the kind of pitch he wants so that was not a particularly good pitch from Hamels. However, I have never liked first pitch swinging...it hurts the team effort to drive the opposing pitchers pitch count....it often reduces the opportunity of getting a walk which Ross got right after Agonz, you may be out before you even give yourself a chance to acclimate to the pitchers release point and arm angle and, if you don't put the ball in play you are down in the count right away. The hitter does not even know what is coming at that point so you don't even learn anything from the at bat. There is nothing sweeter to a pitcher than the sound of Strike 1.
  23. This should be an interesting challenge for Bard. I have always thought Hamels was the kind of guy you wanted to get to early if you can as he settles in after the usual first inning issues. Bard will have to match him especially since the prick got out of the first inning.
  24. And Mr swing at the first pitch as usual.
  25. Well if in part we are defining AGonz as streaky I don't know that he has been necessarily "streaky" throughout his career. However if he is now streaky he would be a hell of a lot less streaky if he would just make good plate appearances. That is totally on him and begins to look like a bunch of pouty ******** after awhile. Sometimes it gets so bad that on certain nights as the game progresses he does not let a single first pitch go by...not one. Not only that he often does not put a good swing on the ball and just ends up looking like he is trying to get his ass back to the dugout as fast as he can get there. He could at least make life easier for himself by not swinging at pitchers pitches. As a professional pitcher you would have to be dead and to stupid to fall over if you did not have Agonz totally figured out at this point. Now the pitchers are just giving him almost but not quite the pitches that he wants and then putting him away with the pitches that he cannot handle or on occasion they just throw him pitches that he cannot handle until they put him away.
