There is no way to know if a ball hit like that is going to stick in that corner. Normally it will bounce out. If Nava did not play for it to bounce out it would have gone right past him and the hitter would have had second at least.
Rays are so frustrating to play against. Even when you have a pitcher's dual, they sneak up on you, put a couple hits together and just like that, they have a lead.
