  1. This ump is suddenly blinded by what....the 9th inning????
  2. Oh look...the Yankmees get to stack two LH bats.
  3. Talk about a big contract ruining a ballplayer. Odor is a great example.
  4. Nothing will speed up this game. It has gone beyond any chance to speed it up. Now that players have to consult their deceased relatives before doing anything on the baseball diamond its hopeless.
  5. I hate it when X doesn't just let it go regardless of who is running. Most of his throwing errors have come on just that sort of throw.
  6. I don't think Sawamura was any less used than Vino. Heck you could almost make a case for starting Vino against this batting order.
  7. Sawamura a puddle on the mound tonight.
  8. On the nights when Sawamura does not have it he really does not have it. That said, why did Cora not bring Vino against all these RH hitters instead of Sawamura.
  9. This has been a terrific Sox game...maybe best of the year so far. No flubs in the field so far. No flubs on the base paths. Nate has been terrific. Though I will go back to the first post I made tonight. I just do not see how any MLB team can send 8 RH hitters to the plate every night and maybe old man Gardener from the Left Side. It just can't work. You could just see how brimming with confidence Nate was with good reason. That confidence just continued to grow also with good reason. The Yanks RH hitters finally started spitting on that Slider that they could not have hit with a 10' bat in the 8th inning?????
  10. Chavis could have some good fortune v Montgomery.
  11. 2B DJ LeMahieu R RF Aaron Judge R C Gary Sanchez R DH G. Stanton R 1B Luke Voit R 3B Gio Urshela R SS G. Torres R LF M. Andujar R CF B. Gardner L I don't know how the Yanks can make this virtually all RH batting order play for a full season. All teams have to do is set up their rotation so that their RH starters face the Yanks lineup and that is an immediate disadvantage that is hard to overcome over 162. It certainly is not a lineup that would even take advantage of the Yanks own home field.
  12. Cora has to find better ways to utilize Whitlock.
  13. Agreed....its numbingly stupid as is just about everything MLB. But it's true.
  14. The number of pop-ups in the modern game is just astounding. Equally of interest, they seem to have suddenly become tough, challenging plays for the fielders. Actually that is now X-man's distinguishing fielding characteristic. He is actually good at catching pop-ups which nobody else appears to be. I can see his agent making that case. "Yeah....Xander is great on pop-ups." Bloom responds, "OK, how many millions do you think that is worth?"
  15. Verdugo is a good hitter. That one directly over his head shook him up. Heck it would have shook me up.
  16. Torres practicing his uppercut swing in the on-deck circle. I have to say MLB these days is "entertaining" in an Addams Family,Herman Munster sort of way.
  17. If Stanton had been looking location at 2-1 he would likely have jacked one over the LF wall. Instead, he was more concerned with pitch type than location, got fooled by the poorly located Slider. Took the pitch and is now walking back to the dugout. The modern hitter in microcosm.
  18. I heard a sports radio talking head today make a fool of himself. He was the supposed baseball "expert" of the crew. He claimed that pitching was now so dominant that they should move the mound back farther...... IDIOT.
  19. You just don't send the guy with no outs. Horrible decision by somebody. Given hoe horrible the fielding has gotten maybe....MAYBE. But Renfroe should have a big rep for his arm by now.
  20. How about if they just turn MLB into a kind of game of T-ball. They have been trying for a few years now anyway. They can't field. They can't run bases. They can't bunt for the most part. Can't hit and run and for my money, the pitching SUCKS with very few exceptions. Just put the ball on a T at home plate and sort of play home run derby.
  21. Unless somebody goes yard, the Yankmees just ran themselves out of a potential big inning.
  22. Horrendous base running mistake by the pinstripes.
  23. 1st base would be perfect for Devers. Sort of hard to throw the ball into the RF grandstands from 1st base.
  24. 1st base for Devers. Then DH after X is done with it.
  25. I have seen one good fielding team all year and it ain't us and it ain't the pinstripes either.
