I don't think they will need Ueh tonight. Maybe Bres...or.....maybe if really living dangerously bring Frankie out again. I would not make Taz pitch tonight and I would like to avoid Ueh if I could.

I hope the Sox smarten up and let WMB hit this way. This is the way he wants to hit. This ******** of punishing him for wanting to go this way which is what the beat writers reported was just ********. Sox have always been heavy handed with their young players without really teaching them anything.

Beginning to wonder if middle relief is an even bigger hole across the AL than even I have thought. Certainly middle relief is more important in the NL where you might have to pull the starter just because he comes up when you are behind and right in the middle of an effort to rally. But look at how ugly these AL teams are in middle relief...Detroit...Spanks....Angels.....We are not great there....just ugly stuff.

It was Pettitte that started this game right? He did not pitch terrible right? Can hardly remember who the f*** the Spanks started. Once again the Sox get to middle relief and feast. Can't you just see the BlobSlob on a rotisserie turning turning fat oozing off of him.

Now that was too funny. The ball gets past Steward and fatso starts waddling towards home and stops about five feet from the mound...out of gas!

Now if Jacko is watching...he gets to see his favorite Yankee pitcher, fatso back out there on the mound. That was such a bad pitch to Vic. I see why he was trying to throw that pitch but don't even try if there is a chance you are going to leave it there. Girardi is going to need an couch and an analyst by the time this series is over. I hope Farrell does start moving Workman closer to the end of the game. They are going to need him there cause Taz is fading and I really think Workman is going to end up being the best we got for that role by end September.

That HR ball was right at the end of the 2nd deck, right were Eck was talkin' about. You could really tell from Iche's reaction. He does not misjudge fly balls. This park is such an embarrassment. Where is Jacko when we need him. He is always defending this band box.

Iche looks stunned. I wonder if that is that gap at the end of the 2nd deck that Eck was talking about earlier. That did not look like it was anything but a long fly ball. Yankee stadium....what a band box.....how does it feel Spanks!!!

Amazing how little respect pitchers have for Napoli and how much respect they have for Ortiz. Napoli is still no protection for Ortiz.

You must not have been watching...it was the Yankee first baseman that was chowing down. But if your point is that I do not think the modern ballplayer takes as much focus out onto the field with him as they used to regardless of uni....you are correct. That is how I feel about it....with few exceptions like the guy at the plate right now...Pedey

Boy that is the first time I have seen a ballplayer take one of the big long sunflower seed tubes out on the field with him and chock a bunch down right from the bag. I am getting farther and farther removed from having any empathy with or for the modern baseball player. Being able to concentrate on where you need to be and what you need to be doing between pitches has always been a big part of the game, not stuffing your fat face. We were always taught that you have to be anticipating every possible situation between each pitch and you are not doing that while you are chowing down.

Boy Eck is getting really good in the analysts chair. He still gives us info we don't normally get from an analyst especially about pitchers as they are pitching. But he has gotten away from that sort of gadfly thing that was hard on his credibility sometimes. He still has fun with it but he is no longer all over the map. I would not be surprised if he has the feeling or has been told that if he finishes out the year continuing to improve as he has, he is in line for the job.

Even if Buch does not come back with the same dominance (and I seriously doubt he will) Felix simply can't be trusted under late season/post season circumstances. He simply does not bring much focus to the mound. That won't work when it really counts.

Yup..like i said...Farrell really does not have anybody to go to short of late innings....this is really a weak pen when it comes right down to it...saved by the starters and Ueh at the end.

Farrell must be totally disgusted with Felix. Not even able to get out of the fourth inning...that is disgusting. Eck says not a lotta' energy from Felix tonight....left it all in the hotel room last night did ya' Felix. I hate it when he pulls s*** like this...this is so much like showing up for ST a fat slob.
