    The one at 3rd probably looked particularly frustrating from the mound. the kid literally played himself into an error on a ball that should have just been a big fat nothing. I think that one really finished Paxton off.

    Yea but that is the best swing he has had all year long. Not sure how long it will stay. But it is the best swing he has had this year.

    XB seems to have an instinct for the death blow. He hits a good many HR's that are like that one...just the last straw. I think a higher percentage of his HR's are like that than any other player on the team.

    That non-play at 3rd looked like the coup de grace for Paxton. You could see one of those seattle rain clouds over his head as he departed from the mound.

    So many OFers are having trouble reading balls in the air because this ball just keeps going and going and going like the Energizer bunny, I am guessing it is even more of a rocket ship than the 2017 ball.

    Winning last night was big for us. I don't see why folks should be disappointed if we split here and we are in great shape for that.

    That is an ugly color for a jersey. its like somebody was trying for some other color and ran out of one of the mixing colors. Got left with that disgusting thing.

    No wonder Paxton is having a heck of a year. Hope he can't keep this up. He is just pitching to places that make it tough to even get the bat on it.

    I wish NESN had shown us a shot of who helped Vaz out from the dugout on that pop up. Usually the only real way to help a player if you know where it is ...point to the ball. That works. Usually yelling something like "its right in front of you" won't get much done.

    That was a ridiculous play by Vaz. To lose it for that long, pick it up again and catch it!

    I hate that commercial. My current favorite commercial (not that anybody should care) is the Geico running of the bulldogs commercial. I have to admit getting a kick out of that.

    Pretty tough ask to cross the country and play the same day. Be interesting to see how the team responds.

    Poor Cora trying to deal with the enigma that is JBJ. Cora says: "I told Jackie after the game to stay right there. Don't change a thing." Thats just it.....Jackie can't stay right anywhere for very long and simply does not have the means to correct enough to stay ahead of it. Swing does not look terrible right now. But they showed a HR from last year a few days ago and his swing right now is nowhere near where that swing was. Maybe he can go on one of his vaunted runs. Be a good time for one going west.

    We are gonna' lose some ballgames. Would rather be watching a team that is going to lose a few than a team that can't win any. These poor O's have been stuck on 19 wins for I think two series now. Just can't get to 20 wins against something like 8,000 losses. I hate to see us play poorly. Poor play or lack of focus bothers me. Losing games don't bother me that much any longer as long as we are playing decent ball. Seen too many. Besides, does not take much to get to 90 wins any longer sorry to say. The trick is getting from 90 to 100 and then winning in the post season.

    Baseball is a funny game. A bunch of individual talents that make up a team of players. Sometimes knowing you have to make up for a great player can really turn a team around. Cano is so darned talented and he makes everything look so easy even when he shoudn't. I have always wondered about that. His throws are a good example. He throws looking like he is making plays from a hammock. I would bet real money that some excellent ballplayers would try that and throw it right into the grandstands...not even the box seats.

    Geez you took the post right off my keyboard. That hurt just watching it. Seeing a pitchers whole body seem to snap back like that you know there is something going on in there that a little ice is not going to cure.
